I hear that Santa Commander is making his rounds again. What Transforming Robot goodness did he bring you this year ? (Photo nicked from Ken)

I won't know until tomorrow if Santa Commander has anything for me, but I did pick up the Robot Heroes Decepticon Sneak Attack set and the Best Of Don Figueroa book, so I'm happy.

Christmas is all about giving, so I gave myself some KO Transformers that I discovered on my travels around Christmas shops. The first find was a £1 toy I have decided to call Ladyboy Megatron - a Knock-off of G2 deluxe Megatron painted in a fetching green and yellow combo. It has the angry expression of a drunk who has awoken to find his friends have covered his unconscious body with women's make-up and taken photographs for their own amusement. The second toy I bought was (and I can hardly believe it) a KO of Binaltech Grimlock for £5.99. The toy itself is made of plastic of much lower quality than the Alternator toy, but has managed to keep the obligatory rubber tyres and complex transformation of the original. The box contains all of his weapons and an instruction sheet with hilariously bad English translation.

Bust Buy Ratchet, very nice but more impressive in the packaging. Megatron fairly christmasy. Reissue Skywarp, Yay! traditional toy fun. Beatmix Bumblebee kept me distracted right through present opening. Hes so fat, with very movie like eyes.
Best of all I received them all in a Transformers Movie Pillow case. Brilliant.

Rather unexpectedly, my parental units bought me the 2008 annual, instantly transporting me back to 1989 when I last received a TF annual for Christmas. As was traditional, I of course sat and read it on Chrimbo day.

Wow. I think they just slung it into Babelfish and hoped for the best.

Yeah i've been wondering how TF Monopoly shapes up myself. I've been looking for a novelty Monopoly set, and after the disappointment of the Nintendo version I have the TF dead on in my viewfinder.

It looks fun and figs are nice. Not played yet but thing which gave me joy was that the chance and community chest cards required a tach spec reader...joy

Awesome pillow case! Wouldn't want to wake up with my face on Megatron though.
TF Monopoly is a lot of fun... not played it in years. Normal rules, but if you roll a double then some TF rules apply, like fighting your enemies for their houses (er, I mean Energon Cubes that are shaped like houses). The pewter playing pieces are nice, but it's more fun to play using WSTs.
I might put together a full review with photos in the near future. Just for fun.

For Christmas, I had the handheld LCD game and the soundtrack CD. (I'm disappointed that the best and most memorable tracks - those used by Bumblebee - aren't included.) Out of my Christmas money I bought the Head of the Class Activity Station, Walkie Talkies, a talking birthday card, Travel Activity Pack and an Armada T-shirt.

It just occured to me that whilst not technically from the Robot Santa I did obtain giant roboty goodness over the festive period from Nick. From his good self I obtained a light up Botcon beermug - the lights on which seem strong enough to light our darkest drink. (I also got the little Gakken version of the mecha that is my Hub call sign, which is currently parked line-up style along with my other Legioss' (Legiosses?) "So Mr Optimus Prime, take your time now, is any of these mecha the gentlemam that mugged you and stole your Matrix?.....)
