Kapow has pics and pre-order already. www.kapowtoys.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4915After Grimlock and Rodimus I thought you were getting your Masterpiece affairs in order, but modified moulds scaled down + extras versions of existing MP Figures is pretty weak if you ask me. FAN RAGEEEEE!!!!! Now that's out of me way, oooh cape!

Perhaps someone who has the original and who knows about planes can tell me what is different, please!

Perhaps someone who has the original and who knows about planes can tell me what is different, please! -Ralph You can tell from the picture Ralph. The coloured parts are from the Hasbro Starscream release, the grey parts are the newly tooled parts.

Quite like the fact he looses those long peices of tail fin kibble from his hips. Not that I'll buy this when I have the original of course.

Yeah, to me the kibble feels like they're air stabilisers for when he's flying.
The designer said it was moulded to be reminiscent of samurai sword scabbards, but I think this was post design justification as he knew he'd left kibble on a MP figure.

Yeah, to me the kibble feels like they're air stabilisers for when he's flying. Well, yes... all aircraft use them that way.... oh, I see what you mean. I never think of Starscream as being able to fly in humanoid mode (in an atmosphere anyway) to be honest so that had never occurred to me I'd disagree - Kawamori-sama doesn't worry about kibble per-se (take a look at Aquarion or Macross Frontiers VF-25 with its wings draped down its back - or the VF-4 battroid mode from one of the Macross videogames for confirmation), if the tail-booms are on the hips then it is because that is where he wanted them to be. The similarity to scabbards is, in my opinion much to marked for it to be entirely accidental either - it was something that struck me when the first pictures of the revised design came out. I've always regretted that they weren't hollowed out for weapons storage to be honest. Karl

Was it mentioned the repaint MP-11S is Sun Storm? Anyway, Takara Tomy pics here: tf.takaratomy.co.jp/toy/event/2012/sunstorm/Not sure why they're including the coronation extra from MP11. They have no bearing on the character (if you even consider SunStorm to have character?).

Sold out.
I do like the colours. If I can get one without hassle or mark up, I might. If not my 2007 one will do fine.

Tis an awesome price, but then the recent Grimlock reissue was well priced too wasn't he? scalper madness will ensue and the TFW forums will implode with rage no doubt. It would be nice if him being a TRU exclusive meant he came out here too.
My favourite colours on that mould are the Takara Skywarp ones. Neeeeed Thundercracker!

I could be tempted, as I don't have an MP Starscream, and as I've said elsewhere, MP's seem to be my main/only collecting line at the moment.
But... when did the Skywarp deco happen?

It was an Asia exclusive that came out in January.

It wasn't made a huge fuss of because it was stupidly expensive, apparently because of a problem somewhere in the distribution chain. Hasbro Asia have been doing reissues of the MPs presumably for China? Is that the target market for them? For a while, but Skywarp was the first that hadn't been out anywhere else.
If you consider that the Takara MP11 version of Thundercracker that's just been announced is an online exclusive of 2000, it does really look like Takara don't think there's a market for more MP11 releases in Japan. Unlike Hasbro who want to give us a veritable rainbow of them.

Apart from the Action Master Thundercracker segment of the rainbow spectrum. Which just goes to show how out of touch Hasbro are.
Anyway... 60USD?!? Squeeze me out through a sphincter, that's a fantastic price! Let's just hope he actually shows up here...
