80s Cartoon ID Please!

A guy at work said he remembered a cartoon from around the time of Ulysses.

He said it featured a spaceship that was kind of like the millenium falcon without the cockpit arm and that the crew would board via tubes (I guess not too dissimilar to Thunderbirds falling down chutes).

I have no other details at this time, but any ideas?

I can picture a Falcon-like ship, but the one in mind doesn't seem to be from Thunderbirds 2086 from what I've just looked at online.

Edit. Come to think of it, the spaceship I'm thinking of is from Ulysses. He had that spaceship that split into three parts, one of which was a saucer-like craft.

I don't know about the Milenium Falcon part, but the use of tubes to enter the ship reminded me of Getter Robo g, or Starvengers as it was known in the west.
