WATER surprise. I WOOD not have believed it if FIRE hadn't seen it with my own eyes.
Interesting that they've bought the property rather than licensing it. I wonder if it was bought from Hasbro or whether it had passed on to someone else at some point. I don't know if Gormiti has made it to the US yet, but if/when it does, I could see Hasbro kicking themselves for letting go of Battle Beasts.

I won some random figures on eBay in which one of them was a Battle Beast.
It is a purple/blue repaint of Horny Toad, but I cant identify it anywhere. A KO possibly?

Also, Takara is bringing back Beastformers themselves, as Beast Saga.
So this *is* indeed the year of the Battle Beasts. It's back in america, it's back in japan.
Though sort of surprised Hasbro didn't try to bring them back years ago, with the cutesty "Heroes" line.

Yeah, think about it. The two concepts mesh really well. If they steal a page from Minimate's pagebook, they can make somewhat uniform bodies with basic articulation akin to the original. Sculpt armor that fits over that uniform core, new head, new arms, and new legs (Or recycled where appropriate. Don't see why a lion's legs won't for for a bear character) Each figure gets it's own weapon like originally, and there you go. This would appeal to several of the fads, like Bakugon, Pokemon, and such. The rock/paper/scissors aspect fills a game niche that could be expanded upon. It's small enough they could make vehicles (Which could also play apart in the hidden element game).
And it also fits into the fisher price/playskool type action figures that Hasbro and Mattel have running for Marvel and DC superheroes.
