Hrm, what are the chances of a standalone Cyberverse Shockwave? I don't see it being released solo, but maybe a store exclusive multi-pack without the battle platform.

I don't know, I've not got any feeling for how Hasbro think the line is doing.

No because it's still ridiculous looking.

Do you think the Movie Prime big box trailer £80 one is good deal to get for £60 tru this weekend? DOTM doesn't appear to be doing as well at retail as previous movie lines. I would hold off a bit. That toy has 'deep discount' written all over it in a few months time. -Ralph

I'm surprised that we haven't received decent repaints of existing DOTM moulds yet. The final waves of the TF and ROTF series were full of re-releases that had fantastic paint jobs. There are a number of really good TF designs, such as Jolt and Sideswipe, that are let down by the minimalistic paintwork.

There's the Ratchet & BB repaints, plus Thundercracker and all the first wave of Cyberverse commanders havce been done. Bar that....

I'd expect that if we get a Dino/Mirage toy then we'll also get a blue/white redeco as well as a G1 homage (like they love doing)
I'd also like some of the concept art characters made into toys, like an Ultra Magnus made from Leader Sentinel but with a new head and maybe a new weapon, or even a Nemesis Prime from him instead (for obvious reasons)

I bought four Human Alliance Basics in Argos' sale, all of Wave 1 according to TF Wiki: Thunderhead, Sandstorm, Icepick and Backfire. Have any others been released in the UK or was all of Argos' stock just the first wave?
Also, which of the larger toys did they have? I didn't manage to get any of those. Again according to TF Wiki, Jazz and the Bumblebee repaint were one wave, the Sideswipe repaint another. Have both waves turned up over here? (Assuming the same assortments in the UK, which I think seems likely if they're exclusives.)

I've seen the blue Bumblebee but for the life of me can't remember if it was in a UK shop. The HA assortment in Toys'r'us was black Sideswipe and Jazz.

I'd forgotten Toys R Us had them. I thought they were Argos exclusives like the small ones.

I have not bought a Transformer toy since November 2011. My resolve to give them up remains strong. Therefore, I must never look at the pictures of crazy colour KREO Vortex or FOC Shockwave ever again.

Picture 19, 51, 52, 64 of the last gallery shows something we have not had since Energon: an Optimus Prime with a trailer/battlestation! It's in the 1984 style.
edit: I just remembered Ultimate DOTM Prime.
MY RESOLVE IS STRONG.
I feel funny.

Universal Studio Exclusives: oh look. Another deluxe Movie Bumblebee. Just what the world needs. Obviously. But at least this one will be contained until the unsold overpacked masses are sold in TK Maxx

Universal Studio Exclusives: oh look. Another deluxe Movie Bumblebee. Just what the world needs. -Nick On the upside, if it is an exclusive at least it keeps it off the regular shop shelves.... Some of the Prime stuff does look rather good, I'm liking the bright colours on Knock-Out. The larger Dreadwing's proportions don't look as good as the Cyberverse version to me though, still looks like a decent toy though. Not so sure about some of the Generations stuff - the Fall of Cybertron design aesthetic feels very "generic space future" to me and doesn't really do much for me. The only one that really catches my attention is Ultra Magnus, and this is as much for the fact that they have got the colour scheme right, rather than not bothering and making him white as anything else. So we all know that the Target Exclusive Deluxe Leadfoot two pack was cancelled, this sadly was done after I passed on the opportunity to get a reasonably priced one on import for only £22. £22 for a Deluxe I thought, utter madness! Of course this was 2011, a simpler time. Whilst we had seen a shift downwards in the size of movie line figures, the quality was still on par with those that had come before and we had some rather nice Cyberverse figures and even a playset in the form of The Ark set, which I managed to pick up in a sale for peanuts. But let us return to Leadfoot. Oh you elusive little thing. As news of the Hasbro cancellation spread, the Japanese supplies dried up scalpers increased the price. Of the few that were available in the secondary market, they were either listed as a prototype, coming loose in a bag without accessories or instructions or for over £100. If I balked at the idea of £20+ for a deluxe, imagine my reaction to this particular internet search... I had a decent representation of every other figure in DotM, save for Leadfoot. He had eluded me and in some weird way had become my holy grail. Odd, I'm not even that keen on the Movieverse aesthetic, but there was something strange that gnawed at my collecting soul. Fast forward 6 years. I'm not the collector I once was. The figures have taken a noticeable down turn in quality (both in materials and design) with a price change in the opposite direction. My focus is primarily on Masterpiece that I source through the usual UK online outlets and yet, I still occasionally would find myself on eBay searching for 'Leadfoot Deluxe'. Well dear reader, if you thought the £100+ we saw in the early days of this figure's release was stomach churningly obscene, let us look again now. I feel the sellers are deluded and would never personally pay such a price, but wait... what's this I see? £30 for a MISB Deluxe Leadfoot? Surely something must be amiss? Still a lot for a Deluxe, but compared to the others, it's the bargain of the century! Upon closer investigation, it would appear as though there is something funny going on after all. Yes, it is indeed a knock off. Why anyone would decide to recreate such a figure I do not know, surely at this point DotM is just another Movieverse line and there can't be that many people like me who have felt such an odd connection and desire to own this figure. But I guess there is or this just wouldn't be a thing. I don't typically condone knock offs or third party Transformers and IP infringement, in this case however the opportunity to finally own this mold at a reasonable price, proved too great and after a month of deliberation I clicked the buy button. I finally have a Deluxe Leadfoot after 6+ years of waiting. Yes, it's a KO with the issues that are associated with that, it has funny spellings and all, but it does have the Target logo which the Takara version didn't. And how do I feel now? I dunno, he's going in a box with the rest of my movie toys. THE END. (Appendix A: Some guys write up of the KO with pics on TFW2005)

I remember hating DOTM figures when they were released on the basis of their bland colours and unnecessarily over-sized weaponry so this has come as a surprise. I found a cheap, very broken DOTM Megatron in a charity shop last week and... I think I'm in love it! I've spent the past few days putting it into various power stances and hand-on-hip poses that would put the Tory Party to shame. I've also discovered Meg's spindly hands are the perfect size & shape for a Sandisk USB thumb drive. Amazing!
