Turns into a pile of shit. -Ralph HAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, yet another generic Cybertronian veh mode. Non flying by the initial looks of things. Hoped for more. Robot mode not too bad on initial impression, but need to get a better look. Head/face looks too Animatedy for me, not, er, flat enough.

Hmmm. A more greebly version of Tankor basically. Unfortunately lacking the chunky squareness that I liked about Tankor and his drones though. Karl

Well, I was toured around the Hasbro stand, but as expected I couldn't get in the Transformers room. There were two Transformers on general display: a Voyager Ironhide and a Deluxe Starscream. (Marvel fared less well with nothing at all on display. If you didn't know Hasbro had them in another closed room because of this year's films, you wouldn't know Hasbro were making them. Oddly, they're pictured in the catalogue anyway.)
Firstly, the Dark of the Moon lines hit 6th May.
Regarding Crossovers. The Marvel line is no more, but there are exciting developments for fans of Star Wars Transformers. The existing style continues, now dubbed Class II. The previously mentioned 4-mode toy, which stands around 12" high and features electronics is Class III. Class I, meanwhile, is a new basic size line; Obi-Wan was on display with Anakin and Darth Maul pictured in the catalogue. A design for Grievous was on display.
As to Generations, I was surprised to find the line listed in this year's catalogue. My supplier told me that they should return this year but when and which waves we don't know. I'm taking a "believe it when I see it" approach to the news.
There are several more lines listed in the catalogue beyond those listed above. The existing Stealth Force assortments are listed as separate items to the Dark of the Moon products; RPMs or whatever you want to call them also remain. The Stealth Force Motorcycle Assortment is also listed.
Then there's this item tucked away in the Preschool section.... Transformers 3 Autobot Workshop "Autobot Workshop" creates a "more than meets the eye" experience with Play-Doh! Kids mould Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Iron Hide and Starscream in "vehicle" mode. Cool indexing stamper lets kids "transform" moulded vehicles into their favourite characters! Comes with 4 tubs of 2-oz. Play-Doh compund, 4 book moulds and indexing station.

As Hasbro's offerings are already detailed elsewhere, I might as well use this thread for licensed products as they've already been mentioned. Underground Toys were displaying a couple of talking plushes - caricatures of DOTM Optimus and Bumblebee which play the old cartoon theme. There should also be a third, of a character my rep's not allowed to talk about (so, Shockwave , then). They also were displaying Autobot and Decepticon cufflinks; other gift products will be produced. Their Autobot and Decepticon cushions are going back into production. Tomy had Gacha on display. At least, they called them Gacha; these Danglers were in blind packets rather than capsules. MV Sports will produce outdoor toys. I only saw the range at a distance but it appeared to comprise of two scooters, a skateboard, cycle helmet and cycle. IMC Toys will produce a table-top air hockey game, a Rescue Helicopter flying toy and a Drawing Projector.

Looking at the new picture of DOTM Ironhide, I was mildly impressed that the legs didn't look as crap as the last incarnations of the toy.
oh boy... still got resentment of Transformers issues to work out ...
But I have been thinking a bit that ROTF Buster Prime is great... anybody got a link to some better pictures of him? :-)
As for Shockwave - yeah... it's like...strange aline mish-mash on wheels turns into strange alien anthropomorphic mish mash...
But then again... I wonder whether we aren't just prejudiced by growing up with a very firm notion of what super robot aesthetics were SUPPOSED to be like?
For contemporary people - it might just be that the site of G1 Transformers would make them think "huh - they're very boxy" Pete

For contemporary people - it might just be that the site of G1 Transformers would make them think "huh - they're very boxy" Pete I am not particularly influenced by the Super Robot Aesthetic personallly. Apart from Transformers my influences are Macross, Patlabor and Battletech - more in the Real Robot aesthetic than anything.I expect the workings to be tucked under the armour where they are protected from enemy fire - where a lot of movie designs fail from my point of view. Which human will ally with Soundwave? Maybe, offscreen, he kidnaps Mikaela and turns into some kind of evil clone.

I was going to say something very rude about what Soundwave would turn the lovely Mikaela into, but thankfully I restrained myself.

Following Ken's *exclusive* pictures of the wooden prototype I have obtained more pictures of The Ark, except this time I have the plastic version and both it's modes are visibile: Ship Mode! & Base Mode!
