How can I cope? For years I bemoaned how IDW pissed their rather good TF line up a wall. Furman was off. McCarthy (a nice enough chap) came on and wrote decompressed...something. Then he was off and Costa took the reigns. He also seemed a decent fellow but was tragically miscast for the book. Sure, there was the odd gem (hello, LSOTW, Ongoing #22-23) but the forward direction of the line seemed to be somewhat wayward and I had stopped caring too much. When I would glance at other folk's copies I saw lots of nice art but stories that seemed to be going backwards in quality in which very little happened slowly.
I had long since stopped buying. I wept! Wept! Bitter tears which soiled my copies of The Furmanator's Best and reduced them to substandard bog roll.
Er, but now 3 new series have started and I liked all three #1's! I can't stand the confusion in my mind! I'm back on board buying this stuff again. I thought the habit had left me.
What will I moan about now?

It is terrible isn't it? Our palettes have been so starved of quality in official Transformers written fiction for so long that our mental taste buds are simply unprepared for the feast that follows the famine!

Infestation 2? I'll be giving that a go though due to the recent upward shift in quality. -Ralph

Picked up the first issue of the event (not the TF one it ain't out yet). Still couldn't give a flying fig for those CVO characters at all. Decent enough though.

I thought it was utter horseshit of the highest order.

OK, so Autocracy went spectacularly off the rails, writing-wise, but at least it had gorgeous art.
I am still for the most part enormously enjoying RID and MTMTE, and Regeneration One has got off to a grand start.
Overall, still a banner year for TF comics.

Titan UK are ensuring we keep having rubbish comics {not in storyline but in the general comic itself}
Titan have now decided to release the comic only 4 times a year. #11 out this week the only issue next out this year is #12 11/10/12 then #13 Jan 2013

It's gone quarterly? Oh dear. Still, it's done well to hang on this long.

They need to make it a reprint comic - then after getting to #80 they can print the 81-100 run.

Timelines #9 is online free at the TFCC site & #10 should be out in Nov if any shops have ordered it in. Nice art for the free online issue.

Question about this I've never looked into but always wondered.
How do these fun pub comics work? I mean there's a comic for Botcon right? and the TFCC magazine has a strip in? and there's also the Timelines comics (which I seem to have accrued most of over the years). Are any of those things reprinting each other? in what formats do all those strips actually appear? (ie are the TFCC mag strips collected anywhere?) I had a vague notion that the Timelines comics were mass market reprints of the Botcon comics, but I'm not so sure I'm right.

Timelines is the Botcon comic while the TFCC 6 page comic is a story that links between the Botcon Timelines comics. Apart from #0,9 which are not Botcon comics & are extras.

Is this #9 they're giving away online going to be printed at any point then? I see. So Timelines *is* the Botcon comic. That's interesting. I've read those and have most of them, but I'd never properly joined the dots there. So presumably they feature the Botcon toys? and so if #9 is about the Subscription Service #3 figures, issue 10 forthcoming is the one that was available at Botcon this year?
And so are those 6 page TFCC strips collected in anything?

The Diamond release comes without I expect the botcon guide but with extra profiles. Not too sure about this but I think it is set this way & most of the time The DP release comes with a better cover.

IDW did a trade of the early strips from the club, but haven't done so again. The club have talked about doing it themselves but so far nothing has materialised. Andy

They have had collections up - but they are high priced. 100 pages £19.99 each
#1 Nov 12 #1-6 #2 Jul 13 #7-12
Wheer the IDW one had #0-12 in one collection - minus all the features.
