The 2010 US exclusives are now 2012 UK Tescos exclusives basically. LMK if you see a White Ranger. Our Tescos does not stock MMPR sadly.

Will do, I'll instant buy it
Tempted by the Megazord. But then I'd need to go Dragonzord hunting

I'd say pretty doubtful, due to the scale difference.
Speaking of which I now own a complete Tigerzord

Jonathan has been watching Power Rangers Samurai and has become a fan. I went looking for the Zord to get him for his Birthday and found This Giftset for £5 less than the retail price for the Zord by itself. The box itself had an RRP of £60, but the Zord itself was £35 and each of the Ranger plus vehicle sets were £15. Throw in a fiver off voucher and that brought the price down to £25. Result, especially as the Red Ranger and Tiger set is made of unobtainium. Anyway.... There's two other Ranger + vehicle sets we'd like to get him. These contain a Ranger plus another Zord which merges with the Megazord. Blue Ranger plus Shark Zord: Easy. The other ..... See here to help me

Have to admit that I have never seen the appeal of Power Rangers toys. They've always looked cheap and nasty to me, but then perhaps I am the wrong age for them. They came out as I was hurtling into my early teens so the wrong time to be into new toys.

Our views may be coloured somewhat by how bad the initial TV series was and how Power Rangers ate TF's shelf space and effectively killed G2.

I only ever watched the first series because of the Pink Ranger and the suitmation bits. Otherwise it was fooking awful. I've had a shot at the toys over the years and always found them poor.

Do you also have the Orange Beetle and White Tiger sets that also combine with the Samurai Megazord?
Next year will be all about Super Megaforce.

Do you also have the Orange Beetle and White Tiger sets that also combine with the Samurai Megazord? They're in that set we got him. We can get the Swordfish (which forms the Battlewing with those 2), the Sharkzord and the small Clawzord easily I'll keep a look out. That set has surfaced in my Entertainer a few times. Its supposed to be a squid like in the Japanese show. The Octozord is a squid, in white and blue. Interestingly it's Japanese name is Ika very similar to Ikard a Transformer squid in the same colours

Which means that Ikard's name is a derivative of his beast-mode, judging by my dictionary - he was clearly thinking ahead when they were assigning names on Seiberton. :-)

Great links too!

The Power Rangers Vehicles with Figures are now here, and Jonathan has taken possesion of his Red Ranger with Sharkzord.
The Vehicle ain't bad. No real complaints. Possibly a Tenner's worth in value but that's pushing it.
The figure is a fixed pose thing of Poundland quality rubber plastic. The only worse thing I've seen recently is the figure with the Megaforce PR Vehicles ! There's removable weapons from the vehicle to use with a Red Ranger figure..... just not *this* Red Ranger figure, who has moulded closed hands holding attached weapons.
They want £15 for these..... about a fiver too rich I think.
The real value will come when he get the Megazord for his birthday.

Hows that all gone Phil?
Acquired Red Zeo Battlezord a couple of weekends ago.
I casually collect the Megaforce Battle Ready minifigures. Does J get those too? I have spares. Just need Megaforce Yellow and Lord Zedd, and I'll have the whole set.

Jonathan's Birthday is just a few days away..... what will he think of the Samurai Megazord pack we've got him?
Atcually got another favour to ask:
We've got him the Megaforce Megazord for Christmas (found a cheap deal knocking a tenner off RRP) Can I get you to look out for the Megaforce vehicle sets - Trident shaped with 3 Head Zords and something for a poor ranger figure to sit in? I'm looking for a cheap/multibuy deal on them.
Similarly I'm also looking for something cheap on the Robo Knight/Lion Megazord. I've already got the legs (they sold the legs separately!) just need to find the body bit cheaper than £25

Figure versions of Legendary Megazord and Wildforce Megazord are now mine. These are really good, and pics on the net don't do them justice. Worth getting if you have figures of some of the monster characters from previous shows to fight with.

Cheap and nasty.
The zord to look out for is the Silver Rangers zord from Super Megaforce. Goujyujin or as he's branded Q-Rex (Time Force namesake) is a tribute to Dragonzord, Dino thunder Megazord and Original Q-Rex.
