Right I've done a little digging: As far as I'm able to see this release is vapourware. I've no idea who told Andu (please tell us who it was) that it was due out today but they're a cruel & nasty ****er for deluding him in this manner.
I know how I'd have felt if someone had told me Star Fleet was coming out and I couldn't find it anywhere when day came.
Besides, and let's face it, Manimal will never be out on DVD.

yeah, we've seen that too but it's been established that's a hoax. They've not got stock on release date and certainly won't have within the 8-13 days they're promising. Amazon is now sending out this email:

This morning I made a special trip out to the local mega Asda to see if their huge DVD section had a copy of Manimal on DVD. After all as a true friend surely it is my responsibility to make sure Andu gets to see this pish again and have him report back how it felt to see his precious childhood memories vanish down the toilet. Alas Asda did not have a copy and the staff weren't able to tell us anything more than what we knew already: this release does not exist.
Sorry Andy. Let it go, you've been had by a spurious online listing. If I find out anything more solid we'll let you know....

Finished Manimal last night. The extra interview was a new one recorded with Larson and was done after the unfortunate passing of Simon MacCorkindale, because he talks of people sounding him out for reviving it.
There was only one episode I didn't totally enjoy and that was due to a shitty child actor being in it. I still absolutely adore this series.
Some random trivia:
James Hong, and a pre Nightmare on Elm Street Robert Englund each pop up in an episode. As does Jeff Corey who played Justin in Z'ha'Dum in Babylon 5
