The whole line was in Poundstretchers in 1988, substantially marked down. My folks (in conjunction with grandparents) picked up six of the figures and the Command Patroller for my birthday. Much fun was had. The Command Patroller in particular was massive and made me popular with the local neighbourhood kids for a while. After several determined months saving pocket money I had the whole line apart from Vulgar and the "Fortress of Steele" base.
They went to Oxfam many moons ago, with a couple of dings and worn stickers but all their wee bits. I bet they made a random Glasgow kid extremely happy.

My word, I had only clicked on the first page of that Old Robots site. Look at all the accessories! Why do I pang for my lost childhood so?
One of these, and a Convertor Delta Train/shuttle thing , and then surely contentment will be mine...

Roboforce had a comic didn't they? Was it a mini one with the toys?
Still got a few of these upstairs I think we have two of the vehicles and 2+ of the figures.

Until this week I knew nothing about Robo Force at all. I had thought I had encountered most of the 1980's robot-related toylines at some point or another but this was a complete unknown to me.

Wow. I think I had a Hun-Dred. Maybe another, but I can't quite work out which one....
Hun-Dred was brilliant.

The pack-in toy comic is now here, courtesy of Toy-Fu. I suspect a dramatic reading lies in my podcasting future.

Oh wow. I had the black and yellow roboforce guy as a kid. I loved him! I think I even drew a picture of him and entered it in the village flower show!

Fingers crossed it is a comeback and not just taking the IP for something unrelated.

Fingers crossed it is a comeback and not just taking the IP for something unrelated. Andy Oh, it's real. And everyone will know about the return of Robo Force by New York Comic Con time. Maxx is back! And this time, he's got some new friends... John K. Owner, Toyfinity Toys www.toyfinity.com

Always happy to find more fans of the Robo Force. The toys are going to be revealed some time inbetween now and New York Comic Con (with a debut at NYCC, hopefully, fingers crossed), but I have some basic details now: - it's the real Robo Force! Based on the original designs, the classic Steele-Forged Heroes and Villains have been upgraded for a new generation of excitement. - figures use the Glyos system of joint technology (www.glyos.com), and will be immediately compatible with that range of figures. Figures are made of a dense PVC and some ABS parts on certain figures. - no suction cups or squeeze-arm power actions. At least on the first figures! - there's going to be an all-new online comic detailing the new adventures of Maxx. You can see preview pages at this link: toyfinity.blogspot.com/2013/07/robo-force-comic-announcement.html Those pages use the original Robo Force designs so they aren't reflective of the final products, but they give you a good sense of the vibrant color and detail to expect in the comic. - one of the hallmarks of the new line is interchangeability. The first product out of the gates lets you build Maxx in a number of different configurations OR Hun-dred, depending on your preferences - with a few included surprises! More details on this very soon. If there are any questions, ask them here and I'll be glad to try and answer them. John K.
