Hmm. Mega Bloks hasn't had much luck with licensed properties except for Halo, possibly because any other merch isn't available outside specialist shops.
Thomas the Tank Engine was a bit of a disaster if the mountains of unsold engines is anything to go by, which might be something to do with the buildable elements of the existing TTTE lines. This makes me think that the Hot Wheels sets will not do so well.
Barbie... I dunno. The jury is still out on Lego Friends- it sells quite well in Toys'r'us. How does it do elsewhere? Barbie proper is pretty much coasting on brand loyalty and store exclusives as far as I can see, so I'm not sure how well a new sub-line will perform. We shall see.

The Power Rangers and Marvel licences were around for a few years as far as I know so must have done alright.

Barbie could provide some competition for Friends that's for sure. There's also Disney Princess Duplo on the way too.
