Hands down the Optimus VS Megatron battle in the 1986 movie. I am sure there are others though.
Dinobot VS ex-comrades in Code of Hero is also a classic!
Can anyone suggest more.

Loath of the movies as I am, even I'll admit that the forest battle in RoTF, between Optimus vs Megatron, Starscream, and Blackout is probably the greatest fight scene ever.
Combined with Dinobot vs the entire Predacon forces, and the Battle for Autobot City in the cartoon movie.
Unfortunately, TF really doesn't have a track record for really awesome battles in motion medium. Some GREAT ones in comics, though!

I'll second your nomination of those dust-ups from Masterforce Martin.
I'd also nominate the last episode of Beast Machines. A knock-down, drag-out fight which ranges over just about every setting of the series, but also connects to the central themes of the series reasonably well.

The Prime/Sentinel fight at the end of DOTM was pretty epic if you were still awake at the time to see it.
Unicron battle in Us#75 is also a fave of mine - it really felt like it was 'moving' but was a comic (if that makes sense).
Battle in Carnage In C-Minor was also memorable - this was the one where Broadside just flattened Devastator simply by landing on him in aircraft carrier mode wasn't it?
It was also a free for all, as 'Bots fought 'Bots, 'Cons fought 'Cons and individual combiner members fought against their combined modes!

The battle that's always stuck in my mind is the one in the cartoon where Megatron takes all the powers from the other Decepticons and utilises them during personal conflict with Optimus. He cracks the Earth as Rumble does, teleports as like Skywarp, etc. Op defeats him in the end ofcourse! But as a child it realy stuck in my mind!

If the fight scene doesn't have lots of transforming going on during it, then it's a bit of a waste of having Transformers in it.
One of the earliest TF things I thought was cool was that bit in the opening credits of the Sunbow cartoon where Skywarp (?) throws Jazz and he transforms into car mode, does a fast U-turn and transforms back to the attack. That's what we need more of, I say.
I've said a few times before that I like the bit in Dark of the Moon where Bumblebee and Sideswipe half transform from car mode in order to somersault out of the way of the cars being thrown at them, then transform back again. There's also a nice bit in the final fight with Sentinel where Bumblebee dodges his attack by transforming to car mode and back. Very quick, but very nice.

That's what we need more of, I say. Martin Ohh darn good point! I couldn't agree more! Have some karma! I also love the title sequence with Skywarp and Jazz, and YES there should be more of that! There's hardly any I can think of! Streetwise's fight against Starscream in the Christmas issue is the only one that comes to my mind. I'm quite taken with this notion. Thoughts, Gentlemen? |

I hearby nominate Mirage vs Megatron in Dessertion of the Dinobots. Mirage proves that Hotrod is just plain weak... he not only takes away Megatron's fusion cannon, he goes toe to toe with the Decepticon leader, keeping him occupied for a long time, long enough for the other Autobots to deal with the other Decepticons. Given how well Mirage does in this fight, I'm amazed he didn't go on to become leader...
