Anyone else picked up the Diamond edition in the last week?
I'm in two minds about the comic. It's great to have a Transformers multi-universe story and a cast of characters that we haven't seen in the regular series, but the story itself makes little sense in isolation and the conclusion is, well, non-existent. It doesn't wrap up the story - the comic just runs out of pages. I've read it twice and had to check TFWiki and the forums to find out what was happening. Awful, absolutely awful.
That said, I still want to see the Fun Pub stuff as a trade paperback.

No. I paid for the Botcon version and read it, it's bloody awful.

Don't all the late releases have extra stuff in than the Botcon release- with convention information replaced.

No profiles in the 2012 Diamond edition. It does, however, contain the six page Invasion Prologue, which doesn't appear to be in the convention edition (Andrew, correct me if I'm wrong).

No those pages were online only before Botcon.
Shame, as they were quite nice, just the story that came after was utter bullshit.

I haven't read this either - but I don't find this is motivating me to seek out the Diamond edition. I have read previous Botcon comics, nothing gives me any reason to expect that this one is any better.

Haven't read the diamond edition, but have the botcon. And I'm of the mind that this is the worst piece of disconjointed crap FP has ever coughed up.
All of the stories they've done, good or bad, have questionable decisions in them... but this entire comic was one massive questionable decision. It basically reads like a really bad fanfic, written by someone obcessed with making sure every continuity crosses over and fits in with every other continuity. You know. Like Transtech. Only even dumber.

I agree it wasn't that good, some parts of it are cool though, like the Junkions, but most is just bad (like this year's Botcon toys as well) Though, this story does sort of have the implication that the Gobots universe will be saved as well, maybe hinting at future (bad) stories again.

A heads-up that the Transformers Timelines: Termination (Botcon 2013) comic is on the Diamond shipping list this week, so may be available in your local comic shop. It's not a bad comic, but it's quite difficult to follow for my feeble brain. I had to look at the TFWiki synopsis to work out what happened, then re-read the comic a second time to understand the story.

I read someone's copy at AA. I can recall that the art was trying hard to emulate the feel of Geoff Senior and that the colouring was lovely. There were words overlaid on top of the fine imagery but they made no sense and so I disregarded them!

Got my copy on it's way to me as we speak.
I like Josh's art, a more cartoony Geoff Senior style so was always going to pick it up.

I remember liking the art generally, but not always the layouts. It wasn't helped by having no idea what the heck was going on as I'm pretty sure you had to have read the previous years club comics to really understand.

Arrived this morning.
Again - love Josh's art. layouts are a bit off in places (but he didn't do them) and the story is confusing meh. It does get points for having Jhiaxus in at the end though. I'm easily pleased.
Profiles are up to the usual standard.
Nice cover from Guido aping Quitely's earth 2 GN cover.

I just offloaded my remaining Fun Pub comics to Oxfam. Thus I am spared any temptation to get this. Hooray.
With the toys long gone I now own nothing by Fun Pub. This pleases me. Wretched company.

I read someone's copy at AA. -Ralph Oh, yeah. I read it at AA, or at least tried to. I'd blanked that memory. I read it last night, having bought the new edition; I couldn't follow what was going on and the "jokes" were awful. So the usual rubbish, then.

I didn't mind the 3H comics, but the FP are dreadful. Mind you, the worst thing about the convention comics is when they do ongoing stories across years. They really need to be standalone stories for events like that.

I'm sure there's a thread on the Pirates Vs. Knights comic, but it doesn't show up in a search. Anyway, the latest Fun Publications Timelines comic has shown on the shipping list for December 24th. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
