HUGE dive into Minicon Madness this last weekend to research stuff for the catalogue poll. Discovered things I didn't know existed! There are tables that will get reproduced here at some point but this stuff..... radio.
Excited to find that I still owned a Universe Perceptor - the one that swaps the orange & blue for black & green, thought that was long gone!

Hmmmm, maybe a Red Alert might be nice too. 7 Years later.... My look at the Movie toy line for the purposes of eventually polling it drew my attention to the recoloured Unicron Trilogy exclusives. I managed to net an Inferno (recoloured Red Alert) for a reasonable price, complete bar the missile. While searching eBay for the missing missile I stumbled on a complete but busted Electronics Armada Red Alert for a silly price so grabbed it. It arrived yesterday before the Movie Voyager Inferno !

What I would give for a reissue in those colours...
(I'd give a reasonable amount of money, that's what I'd give. And no more.)

It looks so good! I wonder if it would have shelf-warmed quite so much in those colours

I seem to remember Laserbeak being a solid case. Which could be the reason for there being so many.

He did also make electronic noises.
And was a Triple Changer.
And was life sized!
No Minicon though...

Youngest loves Laserbeak and he always has to become a goodie when we play together. So a few years ago I got a brand new Armada Laserbeak off eBay for her. It's a superb toy! A lot of fun and great sound effects.

I've only got the standard Hasbro Armada version, but it's a figure I love regardless of the colour. Armada was such a great line. I don't think at the time I realised how good it was.

Been thinking about Armada a bit for polling purposes recently and with the remakes floating around in Legacy
Tidal Wave is a high point though. Ditto Megatron

Yeah, even a G1 fan-boy-wank-monkey like me can recognise how good Armada was/is. Got me back into Transformers anyway! Some superb toys. With actual play-features! There were some howlers though, like the mold they did a Runabout/muck from. That mold was a car-crash. But generally, great toy-line offering something now lost in the endless procession of G1 characters (complete my collection of G1 characters Hasbro damnit!).

Got to be honest, prefer the Micron Legend colours Micron Legend Shockwave is lovely. Grey and purple are not colours that I immediately think of as going together, but on that they really work so well. Makes the ship modes look like the sort of naval vessels you get in mecha shows, and the humanoid mode looks like a massive slab of no-messing-about brute force. Of all the colour schemes on that toy it is by far my favourite. Karl

Lurvley figure. One of the greats. Never had this version. Used to have the Micron Legend one. 20-year old toy and NO discolouring on the white bits...unlike Modern Hasblowwww. -Ralph

It's a bit Tidal Wave on the G2 Juice. "Lets make the green bits, and some other bits, clear green, and the rest white, and slap some energy patterns on it....."
Was a young Mark Maher involved????

I think the colours are fab. I'd love one, but they're always v expensive when I see them.

Not G2, but Universe 1. Which makes sense, as it came out at the same time. Micron Shockwave vibes G2 more, with two seemingly unmatching dark colors that work better together than they should, then a very bright highlight.

Stole half an hour from report writing earlier to check over the Prime trailer I got. It's in pretty good condition aside from needing a clean. Missing all the bits that are likely to come off, but I've got all those on the other trailer undamaged ready to swap in. The electronics are working too, the auto-transform works. Fortunately I randomly had all the right batteries to hand. Not bad for less than a fiver.
What I do need to find now is the missile. Anyone happen to have one in a bits box?

Better complete the set of Unicron Trilogy "needs"
From the original coloured Supercons I don't own Cyclonus, Blurr and Sideswipe. AndyK may have sorted the first two of these for me.
From the Maxcons I don't have either Starscream or Thundercracker but I'm a bit meh on them and don't feel the need to reown them.
I have all the Unicron Battles deluxe recolours bar the two Thrust. I don't own Galvatron or either edition of Jetfire, and I don't own a Final Battles Prime, but don't really feel the need to.
