I got a pleasant surprise when I used the try me feature on Cyberverse Vehicle Knock Out's box: the drill on his drill tank spins, powered by the button which I thought just lit the toy up.
Which other Transformers have spinning drills? I can think of several static ones, Twin Twist and Nosecone for example, but I'm struggling to think of ones with mechanisms that make them turn.

Destruction team Minicons have that one guy. And his many repaints. Also there's Dai Atlas.

The original Constructicons Bonecrusher and Scavenger have drills that turn, but don't have mechanisms to _make_ them turn. (They have mechanisms that fire the drill bits at their enemies, though, which is arguably better! And Devastator can have drills for hands!)

It sort of does for a combiner made out of construction equipment, if he was ever used for that function. Beast Wars Galvatron has a fantastic spinning mechanism that can also make his head spin in dragon mode -Nick

The fab Classics Prime/Megatron 2-pack chaps can spin their arms around like ballerinas.

I'd remembered Galvatron and Drill Bit. Didn't know about Dai Atlas.
BW TM Scavenger has drills powered by rolling him along too.

Dai Atlas is battery powered, natch. I in turn had forgotten about BW TM Scavenger! Who of course only has drills, and no hands. Isn;t there also a BW Drillbit who has a spinning drill-butt?

I believe BW Transmetal Scavanger's drill hands spin, and have a wheel that makes them spin.

Drills for hands makes no sense! If they weren't interchangeable with real hands, I'd agree. So many 1984-5 Transformers had great swappable hand features (Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, Hoist, Grapple, Inferno, Devastator...). Shame they only used the concept in the comic with a non-Transformer (Death's Head). Martin

Inferno did have a permanently deployed fire extinguisher hand, which must have been inconvenient. Isn't there also a BW Drillbit who has a spinning drill-butt? Drillbit turns into some kind of beetle, and his right arm is a drill in robot mode- it fits under his chin in beast mode and I believe it turns when you push him along. In Japan he is awesomely named "Drillnuts". -Nick

Isn't Drill Bit the one with an odd pegging arrangement that looks like he should have a tripple changing gimmick but doesn't?

Awwwww. Knock Off's Energon Drill spins on the button press in battle station mode but turns as the vehicle mode rolls along. That's a fine toy.
