Soundwave looks pretty good. Less a reinvention and more a reworking - which is fine considering how good a toy the original is.
I'll probably not import him though, I shall take the risk on waiting for a domestic release in all probability.

I think it is. Which means the old and new tapes are the same size and interchangeable with original cassette players and MP13. *Swoon.

There's a neat youtube video of the TakaraTomy presentation. Looks like a much more casual affair than Botcon.
The first 10 minutes are all TF:Prime. After that it's all Sideswipe and Red Alert. Soundwave shows up around 24 minutes in. The chest compartment feature is brill.

Aww, he's lovely. He's a beautiful deep blue. Not a huge figure though! But ok. You can tell the plastic's different.
