Thanks to Jonathan85 I have some fresh G2 in my collection.
Sparkstalker aside, my favourites are the Auto-Rollers. They are great fun.

The cartoon introducing Snarl and Swoop aired in 1984 less than a month after the one introducing the other three. If the toys were released in separate waves you'd expect a bigger gap than that. Marvel's TF #4, which featured all five, was also released in late 1984.

Why do people love the orange Constructicons so much? Is it just because it's the G2 version or are those vehicles actually orange in America or something? Construction vehicles are almost exclusively yellow here. The orange constructicons seem to be rarer (or at the very least thought to be so) than the yellow constructicons. |

Well once they decided to put them on the Decepticon side they needed a colour combination that looks evil? And the yellow is too close to Autobot Grapple who was available at the same time.

Yes, I think TF teams are best when colour co-ordinated, like the Jumpstarters, Dinobots, Insecticons and Constructicons. And there hadn't been much green in the range to date, so why not? With a fair bit of purple to show they were Decepticons.
