Ummm... no, but I could scribble the word 'Dinobot' on his packaging, and apparently that would make him one despite him still turning into a Porsche... if I worked for Hasbro... or something.

I'm going to put Dinobot on my packaging now so I can be one. I'd like that.

The ironic thing is that both versions of 'Powermasters' actually have no control over their power at all - they have to rely on Nebulans or guns as opposed to those that are master of their own powers.

And I don't remember seeing the Godmasters bossing any gods around, either. Or the Headmasters running many schools.
And as for Misfire being a Targetmaster...

Now excuse me, I'm off to throttle a Throttlebot.

With their little stubby (unmovable) arms the Throttlebots couldn't throttle anything.

Bumblebee is a Duocon consisting of Bee and Bumble! Bumblebee was often split into more than one part in the comics.

I have a hypothesis about Slag and Snarl.
I think their colors got switched early in their second production. They both come red and green. But Red Slag and Green Snarl are both a bit more rare than Green Slag and Red Snarl. So somewhere, their toolings got switched with one another.
I was going to raise the question if these two are gangmolded, but that doesn't make sense. The original three dinobots were Grimlock, Slag, and Sludge. The Snarl and Swoop were released sometime later. So if they were gangmolded, it would be slag/sludge and snarl/swoop.

The original three dinobots were Grimlock, Slag, and Sludge. The Snarl and Swoop were released sometime later. I was going to say all five were originally released at once, but then I glanced at www.fredsworkshop.com/1985.html and discovered that there is an earlier US case with all bar Swoop in itWhich might help to make sense of why we only got Four Dinobots here, if Hasbro UK just grabbed that earlier US case. There's rumours about Swoop failing a safety test here but nothing has ever been substantiated of that. Dinobots are a FIVE for their Japanese mail away, believed to be Chinese versions. The old box Classics are a THREE but a different three to G2: Grimlock, Snarl & Sludge. IIRC - and I think we did some research into this in the Chinese 90s reissues thread - there is a strong correlation between the G2 reuses and Classics ranges with the Chinese TFs. The only place the original Dinobots are a three, Grimlock, Slag & Sludge, is the cartoon.

Hrnm. I was pretty sure I had a catalogue with just those three, first. Guess I was mistaken.
