I wonder if Hot Rodimus started life as Roller? No, not a Phils Mad theory, HR is clearly Hot Rod, but I wonder if a roller Micromaster started out in his place. Certainly wouldnt look out of place with some of the other MMs packaged with the big chaps. WHAT. As if it wasn't bad enough that Hot Rod killed and replaced Optimus Prime, you're now saying Hot Rodimus killed and replaced Micromaster Roller??? Martin OR does this mean that Hot Rod is actually an evolved Roller?  ? |

A possible G2 Drag Strip was sold on ebay yesterday as part of a junk lot. I hadn't noticed when I watchlisted the auction, but was interested in the lot, and was surprised to see that it was already over 100 quid an hour or two before. I opened up the auction and in the picture window under my mouse pointer where the magnifier was I saw a black Drag Strip. I nearly dropped my tea cup! I figured I'd go to a couple of hundred but I couldn't stand the risk, in case it was a bootleg or custom. It went for over 700 quid in the end, but I suspect that if its a genuine G2 Drag Strip that might turn out to be a bargain. This is the first time I've seen a grail item in a general lot, I kind of thought this didn't happen any more, but there is is. Anyone here the winner? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355461503348 |

We talked about it on the call on Saturday and came to the conclusion there was some reason for suspicion there. The Leozak is also a big attraction for that lot |

The paint apps still make me think it was/is legit. Im not aware of any KOs and it would be an incredible custom, again due to the paint apps. On the other hand, the photos werent great and lots of other items had apparently been customised in the lot so....
But I dont think the Leozak is that big a draw, first, being mainland Europe, the essentially indistinguishable Metamorphs ko cant be ruled out and even if legit missing its tail wings you're looking at £50 maybe £70.

 I think this is a custom. The blue windshield makes me suspicious, but getting in close, the black parts also seem to be chipping.  And comparing it to the sealed real deal, he's missing some details. |

My feeling is very good custom, maybe a dye job rather than paint, as has been said the windscreen is missing the top drips

I think the windscreen has been repainted, that was initially why I thought custom, but Im wondering now if it was repainted because of paint wear or because someone thought the drips were paint wear.

On a side note, I find it interesting how these guys get horded.
They're so rare that when they turn up, only the absolute richest fans can afford them.
And not a single one of those collectors have ever offered up photos of them for the Wiki.

If I had anything interesting I would love to take pics and add to the general knowledge store... indeed that would be part of my motivation / excuse for getting something like that! |
