Lego, Megablok, Kreo, and Character Builder... there are too many companies that hold major lisences now, that I don't know where to put such a thread.
Lego has given us Star Wars, Indianna Jones, DC Heroes, Marvel Heroes, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbian, Cars, Toy Story, Lord of the Rings
(Bombined with the awesome stuff they own, Monster Hunters, Dino Island, ect)
MegaBlok has Halo and Power Rangers
Kreo has TF and Battleship, and will have Star Trek (ZOMGZOMGZOMGZOMG)
CB has Doctor Who, and supossedly Scooby Doo.
So... with all these wonderful things happening, what lisences do you wish these companies would exploit?
Lego-
Stargate: I mean... this is absolutely perfect. So many bases, vehicles, and characters it's perfect! Plus, flat out adult collector aimed models (Go'a'uld motherships, Atlantis, X303s) Too bad Stargate isn't relevent anymore. Plus the videogame.
TMNT: This is the perfect venue for TMNT. They're so well known for huge and silly vehicles, and playsets there's nothing they couldn't do. Plus create a stronger emphasis on the minifigures, and the mutation aspect of the franchise... create carious removable animal parts (Differerent animal heads, shells, tails, all kinds of various elements) that allows you to customize the minifigures... have April O'Neil mutate into a lizard woman, have Shredder mutate into a wolfman.
And KRANG! How much fun would a lego head-sized Krang be???
Plus, the game! This translates so well into the Lego games!
Voltron: If Lego can pull off the Voltron combined form as well as Megablok pulled off the Megazord, this is perfect.
DC Universe Superheroes: Green Lantern: 'nuff said.
Marvel Universe Superheroes: X-Men: 'nuff said.
Jurassic Park: lego already has a dinosaur line, so I guess this is moot. But it's been on my wishlist for years.
Likewise, Star Trek has long been on my lego wishlist until Kreo snagged it.
Something that would be cool, is for Lego to acknowelegde the adult collector base a bit more, and persue some lisences to market strictly to them, in terms of minifigure blindpacks and maybe small $10-$20 sets. Like Big Bang Theory. I could see a small line of BBT legos doing really well sold through Lego stores, comic shops, and online venues
Kreo-
Phineas & Ferb: Again, another absolutely perefect franchise for a building block format. I chose Kreo because I feel that Hasbro may respect the P&F style more, and attempt to make the minifigures look more like the characters in shape. (New heads modeled on the characters, and such).
I surprise myself at how badly I want this to happen.
MLP: Friendship is Magic: Like TMNT, a stronger focus on the minifigures, with swapable/replacable hair, tails, wings, and horns. Plus all of Ponyville to build.
So, any wants from anyone else?
