I have come to the cnslusion that DOTM is the best TF film. Not that it is actually the _best_, but it is the bestb by far if you switch your brain off.
The only thing ROTF had going for it was that it was a bit morte sp[ewectacular than the firstb film. But DOTM is 100x more spectacyulartyan the firstg film, and so it leave sROTF with NOTHING! NOTHINfg! The first film had some sober merit in the first half with all the mysterious alien stuff, then spoilt it all in thne second hal;f with the Autobots beingna;ll streetwise and everything. But the thjird fi;lm =- POW! After a few drinks I can jkust watch over and over the car chase scene with the Stunticons or whatever they arae - particularly the bit wher they are flipping cars left right and centre, and Bumblebee and Sideswip[e flip through the air half transformed and then lena da and turb backj int ars - it's great!!!! AND THEN bUMBLEBEE AND sAM SCREAMING IN TH AIRT AS HE TRANSFORMS AROUDN HIM. dAMMIT CASP SLOCK again.
Takes deep breath.
Alcoho., is nmot caring enough to check what you've just typed.

The marketing of it in home formats has been rather cynical.

I bought it about a week and half ago and haven't watched it yet either, because of Christmas telly and other new DVDs. I ended up buying it in Sainsbury's for £3 or £4 more than I could have bought it for elsewhere because they had some postcards with it - the only exclusive available. I had a nice steelbook for the first film and a transforming case for the second.

With thanks to Pete, the DVD is now a fiver in Sainsburys which passes my threshold.
I still haven't seen Dave's Revenge though....

DOTM available in stunning Howard Donald on Sky Movies as of today.
Watched some bits while sketching, doing housework. I actually have some ideas for post DOTAMAN stories that might be interesting.

Thread resurrection!
Is there anything anywhere that actually details what the extras are on the 3D release? I try to get the full package for films I buy on blu-ray, I'm naturally like that (heaven help me I even bought the 3D version of Prometheus just to get the extras disc), and assumed having bought the triple play blu-ray when it came out three years ago that they'd be on there. So having finally watched it today and found the cupboard was bare, I'm wondering having read this thread what I missed on the 3D release.

I was wondering if Film 4 is streamable, then you could do both.

This is on Channel 4 at the moment. I just caught half an hour and found myself watching with a slack jaw. This is awful. I'm sure a few years ago I thought it was tolerable, like the other Bay films, but this is just terrible. The first part of this is like a bad office comedy. Barely any robots, just loads of Witwicky getting het up about his girlfriend's boss fancying her while being accosted by awful oriental stereotypes in a toilet.
I must have blanked this from my mind, it's beyond terrible. People must have watched this and thought, so *that's* what Transformers is about is it? No! No it isn't!
