Now at: $762,318,797 boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=transformers3.htmThe Potter Effect will no doubt now impede any larger gains in the US and Europe but DOTAMAN has yet to open in China or Japan so will probably still slide over the $800m mark. -Ralph

It's now at a mindboggling : $982,892,000. boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=transformers3.htmThe first film grossed $709,709,780 . ROTF's take was $836,297,228. Bear in mind DOTM benefits from 3D premiums that the other two movies did not have. Yet half the internet is convinced the movie series is over. Not with these numbers! -Ralph

As long as the series is bringing in cash, they will milk it for every penny possible.

Of course, when The Internet says that something is so, it is often a good indication that it is in fact not so....

A fourth will be made - too big a cash cow not to. Especially with the ongoing dickery surrounded Star Trek paramount need a fourth.

The director is being a prima donna and appears incapable of deciding if he wants to do it and Paramount are convinced only JJ Abrams can make it. Hence why it has not entered production 2 years after release of the last film in May 2009. And bear in mind the last Star Trek sat on a shelf for a while: principal photography was late 2007/early 2008!
If Star Trek 12 is ever made, Chris Pine will end up playing a 'young Kirk' at an older age that the Shatner did in the 60's!
