It's the name for them. The Action Masters are the same size of figurines as G.I. Joe.
Well i fixed it amazingly with superglue. So far the thing is able to stretch to allow me to move the legs from stand up position to sit down position and they are nice and tight and snug.
Wonder how long the superglue will last....

I've always had a pretty complete set. Got all the boxed ones aside from Wheeljack and about half the carded toys as a kid. Got Wheeljack, Grimlock, Blaster and the four Elites (incomplete) and probably some junker figures in the last 5 or 6 years.
Would still like to get Shockwave and Tracks at some point.

They are... fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Predaking on a bike! What couldn't be better than a tiny gestalt on a bike? And that Ultra Magnus looks brilliant. Now *this* is the kind of situation where I think it would be okay for a 3P company to put out versions of these things - they looked good, but Hasbro opted not to. So they're kind of fair game. But I'm just saying that 'cos I want them...
Also, to keep the previous spirit of this thread going, my Action Master collection covers:

Shockwave
Action Masters were an odd thing to me. Not having t'Interwebs back in t'early 90s I didn't know this line even existed until I discovered them whilst on holiday in France. The non-English packaging only confused me even further (until I found a dictionary and translated it), but at the same time it also massively increased the mystery and thus the appeal. And having never owned a Grimlock, Soundwave or Shockwave before it was a great - and cheap - way to get those important characters.
As for Optimus Prime, I didn't have an income when he came out so couldn't afford the whole playset. So I wrote to Hasbro UK, sent them a cheque for a fiver, and they obligingly sent me the figure on its own. Which was really nice of them, I thought. So much as I may criticise Hasbro UK (and I do), I can also never forget that they treated me quite well on that occasion.
So yeah... Action Masters. They're a bit shit, to be honest. But there's so much around them that makes them amazing for me. I wish they'd produced these few extra figures.

The photos of the auction I bought my Action Masters from reminded me of something   I used to like the 3mm peg hole in Shockwave's back for mounting his gun in. Do any other Action Masters have them? Then I got thinking.... Shockwave has the peg hole on the top of his back. He has another on the side of his gun arm, which I've always thought was in lieu of a hand hole on that arm. What if it isn't? Has anybody ever thought that AM Shockwave might be missing one of those flexible rubber PIPES that the GI Joe figures came with and these holes are meant to hold it as the power lead for his gun on the original figure? |

I always assumed that that's what it was for, but that they just couldn't be bothered to include them in the packaging. I'm sure I read something somewhere once that confirmed that. Or maybe some guy in the pub told me. Sold me this magic bean, too...

I always thought Devastator was a very odd choice for an Action Master. Unless they did him enormous like, or at least larger than the others. And I always though Bumblebee was way too large for that matter.

Probably the lack of major pre movie Decepticons. Without doing all 6 strike jets theres only Meg, Shockwave and Soundwave. I suppose maybe Frenzy or Rumble and the other two insecticons might have been options.
Thinking about it now I would have loved a Reflector.
I wonder if there was ever thoughts of doing the combiners at a larger size.
