Today is the anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing - a very sad event in human history. I saw this anime representation of it and was quite moved:

Of course, I tend to take the Hiroshima bombing in perspective. Europe had it's own little Hiroshima, of sorts, with damage of equal proportions (sans radiation):

The two were separated by about 1 year's time.
Anyways - Atomic bombing is a terrible thing. Not really much else to be said on that account.
