On my way. Doncaster is cold but otherwise uneventful.

Thank you for the hospitality, chaps. Arriving as the outsider could've been an intimidating experience, but I found it the easiest thing in the world to speak with whomever I was sitting beside or walking with.

Just looking at the way I phrased that, Phil, and thinking "whoops!" "Whomever I was sitting beside" could be read as "the person I was sitting beside whose name I didn't bother to ask or remember." In truth I spoke to a fair few. Everybody was very personable, and that was the positive impression that I left with. The only thing that worried me (as I confessed to Graham) was that I might accidentally refer to Andy (or Martin?) as "Mandy", because there's something about the way they post which means I can't tell them apart

It was, as ever, a pleasure. I had a grand time - always nice to catch up with folk I don't get a chance to see that often. Great to meet you as well Tim.
A little bit fragile today and somewhat sleep-deprived this morning - but that was fine, I parked myself in a nice comfy train seat and did a lot of napping on the way back up.
I hope that someone has taken a survey to check which bits of Birmingham weren't shattered and crumbled in my rampage......
