Wouldn't be a retro-zine without Matt D. Best idea in ages.

OK, Turnbull and Bodsworth are now 3 interior pages each and Dallas now 2.
I think I've caught up.

Okay, so this would need to be something I would have written in 1992, though not following any sort of unified continuity? I was too late for all the early zines

Just trying to give a flavour of what 1992 was like (I would have been 14/15). They liked breaking backs of superheroes, killing them off for a cheap event, starting a new creator-owned line driven by artists and no writing skill. It was all a bit grim'n'gritty. It seems a bit of a dead zone for truly good quality films.
Are we going to say no computers and all hand-drawn/lettered (I think Malibu Comics might have been the only ones pioneering it at the time)? Or is that going too far?

I probably do have some Transformers artwork I drew at that age I think I'm going to go down the whole hog of living in 1992. The Internet barely exists - what can I do??? Garry

So if it's fully old-school, that means hand lettering, yes?

Or you could do it all in MS Paint with a mouse and keyboard.

I've gathered some comments about the website: 1) More comic sans 2) Use of the HTML marquee tag 3) Use of the HTML blink tag Garry

I have dashed off a first draft of a text story for my page - will look at it in the week to do a read-through and re-draft.
I also have a second idea that I like almost as much - Graham, as editor/compiler of this project would you like me to send you both so you can peruse them and decide which one you want to use?

[ Do both! I'll fit them in. By your command! First drafts now exist of both stories. They need the customary redraft, spell-check and correction of egregious grammar howlers, but I shall let them percolate away for a couple of days and then come back to them for that. Karl
