For previous examples of TFCC fun see: Where's my TFCC Sideburn? Group order for TFCC G2 Ramjet and TT Ani CheetorTFCC Thread of Destiny+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- So it's that time of year again. Already. The Transformers Collectors Club exclusives for next year are SG Sausage Man (Why?!!!) Runabout (I think, the black one anyway, if you want the other one join the club and get it included in your membership, or grab off ebay next year after release) Runa.... has a new head and SG Sausage Man (why?) come with swords and blurrs guns. Work on around $60 or £40 per figure. I think postage including customs worked out at about an extra £12 per figure this year. So around £50-55 per figure. Orders will go up in January apparently. As always its helpful if people yay or nay early just in case the orders pop up unexpectedly. Jan 2012 edit: So far those showing interest Aesir - both Mellowshade - Runabout Jaymz - Runabout Alan - Runabout

I imagine that Hasbro rejected everything else TFCC put forward and SG Drift was the bottom of the barrel 'gag' submission that was the only one left.

January? For expensive collector items? When people are skint after Chrimbo? Do TFCC have a clue what they're doing at all?

Possibly, but I do not wish to derail the thread.
Thanks to Mr Bogatan for the offer but I shall decline.

Its almost certainly going to come come right around botcon registration timme as well. But they have had complaints for the last few years about how long they take to be sent out. Orders un january should hopefully mean they get sent out before convention season this time.

I'd like to order a Runabout and a Drift (I like Drift and Deadpool, so it's a no brainer for me lol)
And would it be okay for me to pay for it at AA? (if they're out at about that time)

If I'm still heading to the States in January* I should be able to get these orders myself and send them back to Mr Bogatan for distribution via conventional airmail or even surface. Could save us a few quid.

*No I haven't heard back from ISU about my application yet. Hopefully next week when Thanksgiving is out of the way and they're back at work.

The thought had occurred to me, but I thought I'd wait and see what was happening with ISU before asking you. It would be most appreciated by all of us I'm sure.
Depending on Botcon dates they could even get back without international mail of any kind.
A man can dream.

Looks like my Drift is going to be the only one in this order lol I think you're right. I like the mould and suspect the colours will look good ( I never trust the photoshops mock ups) and if I didn't have to deal with the extra shipping cost I might be tempted if it was under $50, but I do and it wont. With the early mock ups (I guess when they still hadn't worked out what to do with it) it had a lot more white I think and it might have served as a good Lightspeed to go alongside Henkei Strafe, but now its gone all black it would require a bunch of parts swapping with a Blurr or Drift to make it work.

Oh yeah I did have another reason for dredging up this thread.
Does anyone have any interest in this years Botcon figures, either for me to order a full boxset or for individual figures.
If Nicks doing Toyfu I try getting a couple of loose sets usually, but this one has me flummoxed. I can't decide if people will want them or not. So if anyone is wanting anything speak up and give me an idea if I should get an extra loose set or not.

They have actually said first week of Jan already. So yeah.
The timing itself isn't so much my annoyance you have all year to save money if you plan ahead of time to go. More that because of the late announcement I have to find money for flights, hotel deposit and registration and club exclusives all this month. Even if thats not a problem you need a credit card with a large enough limit to cover everything, a limit that may already be eaten into by christmas purchases.
If only I didn't have such a consistently good time, it would be so easy to not bother.

I was looking forward to taking care of Fan Club business from Iowa, but the Graduate Admissions Office has chucked a particularly large and heavy spanner into that particular works. If I hear back from them and get a definitive start date before the figures go on sale I might still be able to swing it. I shall keep everyone updated.

Hoping they announce prices ahead of time, to give people time to decide. But that would be out of character for them.

It would also be out of character to announce a sale date rather than a sudden message of : "They're on sale right now! Buy them!". Like what a business does.

Posted on their Facebook page 15 minutes ago: "Runabout pre-ordering is coming up. Please be sure your TCC Membership is current! How about a vehicle pic of an in hand sample?" Slightly exasperated-suonding comments: "Are we talking "today coming up?" or "Friday or beyond?" lol" "Coming up today? This week? Next week?" "Awaiting a new credit card so next week would be nice!" My HLJ Twincast & Soundblaster is due next month, so if the dates work out badly, I'll have to give Runabout a miss. (I was planning on buying my own, but might consider joining the group after all.)

How THE FUCK can A BUSINESS WITH OVER 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE not tell their customers in advance when an item will be available for sale? Or even a price-point? Even Matty can do that! People like to know when something will be on sale so they can plan for it so they can GIVE THE COMPANY MONEY. This is especially important when advertised as an 'international' club/company. Different time zones and all that...many of your customers will not be online when you do the 'BUY OUR STUFF NOW!' message.
Do they expect people to be permanently glued to their browsers on their chosen device, constantly hitting 'refresh'? Or that customers have infinite money all month round so will always have cash to spend when they are told to jump?
Rarely do capital letters to spell out a full word and naughty words help illustrate a point, but sometimes proper words do fail me with the way TFCC do business.
