did you see their definitely not in any way shape or form BSG sets? Stargate, not BSG! I have only seen Best-Lock in Poundstretcher or Poundland. How good are their bricks? -Ralph

Best Lock show up in Wilkinsons. They're another COBI cover name (see Character Building)

Best Lock are extremely cheap sets found in hardware shops and newsagents. Toys'r'us had a few of the bigger sets (the sort of line that goes half price after a week that we clearly got very cheap from some other retailer) and they did passable business but have since completely stiffed. I can't vouch for the quality of the sets since I think the last time I bought one was on holiday in the Highlands when I was 8 (it was pretty crappy and didn't hold together), but if they actually managed to secure a proper license then they must have raised their game.

I WAAAANT! One should never need to glue legos together, but these are cheap enough that I think they're worth it. All else fails can just glue them together.

I saw some BEST-LOCK stuff in ASDA. Looks very cheap and nasty. The bricks don't make a good sound when you rattle the box. I can now happily pass on their Stargate stuff.

Shame as SG minifigs would be my main draw. Of course if they got CB involved to handle the minifigs, that would be awesome because they might make a Doctor Kayleigh from Firelfly.

You just gave me a picture in my head of The (other) Doctor and Kayleigh running around wondering how they got trapped in the wrong show.

I could be tempted by the Daedalus I just admit - it is the only way I am going to get a desk sized version of one of the nicest looking capital space-ships in recent Skiffy TV.

Anything parked close enough to the centre of a gate should stop passengers reintegrating. In theory you could block a gate with a sheet of paper.... as long as you can find a way to help it survive the Kawoosh (technical Gate physics term)

If it's placed close enough to the event horizon as it's forming, I believe the explination is that the kawoosh doesn't form. However, a piece of paper won't keep something from coming through an open wormhole. There were times the iris could barily keep things out. But, a piece of paper could make the gate system think the gate is burried, and prevent a wormhole from connecting altogether.

If only they had discovered this paper thin idea to victory! They could've spent the first six seasons on something else. :-)

Looks like my Gate Physics is a bit rusty. But then, I never paid quite as much attention to those briefing sessions as I did to the Offworld First Aid lectures... :-)

The 99p Supersoldier and BRIGHT YELLOW Jaffa minifigs (copyright 2013) have turned up in Poundstretcher. They looked so amazingly shit that I had no choice.

I do like the idea of Jaffa with jaundice - We know that their masters haven't allowed them to learn much about Medicine so I guess that they just have to live with the deficiency diseases...
