From a purely Transformers point of view, 3 movies in fairly quick succession with the same core characters pretty much turning into the same alt modes and the same (in my opinion) ugly look for most of the robots led to a total glut. Even I felt there was far too many Bumblebees and too many generic style Decepticons.
The above reasons are why I delved into Animated and Prime more and barely picked up much movie stuff at all (well by my standards).
The news regarding other hasbro brands is certainly intriguing too.

In fact then I would moan that Hasbro are trying to destroy artistic integrity. As it is, the characters in the film aren't compelling at all. There were loads of new characters in ROTF and DOTM, but they were all nothings, despite all their screen time! |

Won't be long before a new MLP movie perhaps. Still wondering when the Hasbro toy factory film will surface.
I'm guessing with TF4 could have Ultra Magnus as a successor to Prime maybe.

from what i've heard or read, there's not to be much in the way of many new bots in this one! as it's to be a more human driven story, but I could be wrong.
+ god knows when we're going to get some sort of half decent trailer, so at least we can work out from that, what it's about & what bots are in it

It hasn't commenced filming as yet so I dare say any trailers will not surface until the latter half of the year.

I agree. The first 3 films were heavily human driven, too much so IMO. More human driven would be no robots at all! Might as well call it Armagedon 2 or something.

You could have a very interesting human driven TF film. The track record so far however indicates it will not be given the continuation of some of the creative staff.
