Martians vs Judge Dredd? That will not end well for the green fellas.

Twitter reveals Shane McCarthy is the writer, so an easy pass for me. His writing style is not to my taste.

I'm extremely excited by this too - not picked up any of the other crossovers but this is two of my fave things together!

Oh, it's just a one-shot? That's okay, I had thought it would be a mini!

I think I will pass on this Shane McCarthy isn't a writer whose work does much for me so I'll not bother methinks.

Interesting concept, but I've already decided I'm not giving any more of my money to Shane McCarthy, so an easy pass.

Although I'm not keen on Mars Attacks I'll probably get this just to see what its like - despite the author....

I'll wait and see.
Although I think the art will be pretty decent, Shane McCarthy has yet to write anything I'd like to read.

I know, the wounds of AHM still run deep for me. Too deep.

Long since passed the point where I buy every TF comic. I just buy the ones by writers whose work I enjoy.

The 3 monthlies we are getting are all good, the digital stuff hasn't been bad, the annuals have been awesome. I have so much time for IDW - I appreciate pretty much anything Transformers as I have an absurd obsession with the brand, so perhaps I'm yet to develop a proper quality filter (I'm still getting the UK comic for instance)....

The art is nice, feels like Sunbow, but then it is penned by McCarthy.
Might be half decent.

Preview took me 30 seconds to read and that was a quarter of the comic. Easy pass.

Looks like it is set in the cartoon universe. If only AHM was marketed for this universe than the core IDW-verse.

It's a quick read, but it's actually quite fun.
It does feel like a Sunbow episode, albeit erring a bit too much on the everybody makes knowing gags side of things. I get the feeling that the Scream films made a big impression on Mr McCarthy.

Matt Frank's art in this is very good, cartoony but fun.
I like this as a one off, but it would be interminable as an ongoing, but then we already know that to be true after All Hail Mediocrity.

I still to this day don't get the hate reserved for McCarthy. AHM certainly had its faults, but it was the first time in IDW that the characters were actually written as though they had individual voices - dialogue for any of Furman's bots was completely interchangeable.
I just don't get why people hated on AHM so much.

I just don't get why people hated on AHM so much. A big chunk was that the new and original IDW universe suddenly got wrapped up with all the long-running plotlines ignored and replaced with pseudo-Sunbow which definately felt like a slap in the face to the long term reader in favour of trying to grab new readers. It might read better as a trade, but over 12 issues barely anything happens, and then suddenly everything rushes towards a deus ex machina conclusion. I'm not even sure why the Decepticons are defeated at the end, apart from the fact it hit issue 12 and so had to end.

Also, the Decepticons conquered Earth, no wait they conquered America, no wait they conquered New York.
Absolutely wretched series with no cohesive direction and it was a poor mans Sunbow. For all the many flaws of Sunbow, I can generally enjoy it this was far from it. Lovely art throughout in service of a dreadful story.

Andy I remember enjoying how two of the issues had identical cliffhangers (The United Nations declaring that they would nuke New York!) Also how the traitor was Sunstreaker, despite Sunstreaker not really being in the story until a few moments before the traitor needed to be revealed. ("It was him! Background character #3 all along!")
