Has anybody noticed the messages on Facebook over the last few days?
12th October: Fall Sale UPDATE!We are currently preparing for our annual warehouse clearance sale. We need to move a lot of items to get ready for the FSS figure program.
We have marked down some items that have never been on sale before, and found additional inventory from past sets that were held back in case of damage to orders.
Today we are putting items into both stores (clearance section for the marked down items) and on Monday we will turn on the clearance prices. Some of these prices are very spooky so don't miss out as the sale ends 9am on November 1st (central time).
That's good, there might be a bargain to be found...
15th October: Store update-Please be aware that there is an issue with both club stores in putting items on sale. You will find all of the items going on sale in the clearance section. However, the store software is glitching on giving them a sale price.
We are working with the software company on this. So if you don't see a sale price on the item you want, just wait until it shows up. This problem DOES NOT effect the orders once processed, it only deals with providing the sale price.
Okay....
Today (19th October): Thanks for your patience and we apologize for the start/stop. There still seems to be an issue with receiving a no response during the final check out page (for some people, not all). We are having some of the code changed to hopefully eliminate this problem. The store will be closed until this timing issue is corrected.
However, please note that at the volume we are running, when it comes back online, it still will be slow but your transactions should finish.
We will keep correcting issues as they come up as the company's software we are using apparently was not designed for over 200+ items to be on sale at the same time. We have suggested some permanent fixes but it will take time for them to change their code.
Thanks again for your support and for your patience!
Hmm...

16th October Club Annual Sale started today...sort of....more...â€
Hello all you Club Members!
While we have corrected the issue with the sale item pricing, there now appears to be an issue with the check out that stops the check out process in the middle. This is tricky to diagnose as it does not happen to everyone.
I have turned the store off while the store software company takes a look at this intermittent issue.
I'll send out another email when this is corrected.
Thanks for your patience!

16th October AGAIN Club Annual Sale started AGAIN!â€
Hello all you Club Members!
Thanks for your patience and we apologize for the start/stop. With over 200 items on sale (between both clubs) we have used some new features in the store and it has been quite the challenge. We found out that the issue causing the pricing problem was the same thing causing the check out issue. These have now been corrected. If you have any problems, please let us know.
There are items on sale for each club that are:
1. Inventory that was held back in order to replace damage on orders. 2. Items that we are thinning the archives. 3. Items that the counts were off.
Many of these have been marked down an EXTREME amount and they are going quickly. For other items, there just isn't a large number available. Don't delay!
Thanks again for your support and for your patience!

When I looked yesterday (18th October) the sales section was empty, today it finally looks to be sorted, but about 75% of the stock is back issues of the club magazine, 50% off at an amazing $5 each. So really doesnt seem to have been worth the effort.

If you aren't actually at Botcon - buying regular toys from the club is a near total waste of time for international members, I ignore their spam. Small inefficient outfit ran like it.

Marc, while you were away, you missed our various conversations about how well run the club is.

They have a license no one else has and ultimately they run Botcon well and everything else poorly. They generally ship toys that they've sold and haven't as yet sunk to the lows of 88mph or Pat Lee. So - whilst they are pretty bad and much maligned, fans have endured worse.

Pretty much agree with Mark, bad in so many ways but Botcon is always good or better and they do make good toys.
Good convention, good toys, terrible business, terrible communication, terrible club.

You guys get updates? I don't even get that. Since I rejoined, any communication I get from them, I have to innitiate. That's the only way I knew I was a member and getting my subscription figures.

As always with the club, we know what they are like. If folk think they are rubbish don't give them money but if you do you can't really complain: their business practices and customer communication are well established and documented by now.

Jetty - you sure its not in your spam filter? I get plenty of emails from them, incoherent but still emails! Nope. I check my spam filter almost daily, because it randomly takes stuff. Can get something from my bank one day, the next day it goes to spam, the next back to my inbox. Since I rejoined, I only get stuff from them when I email them first.

Well... talked to the club *again* about the email problem, and they basically told me it's my provider's fault, not theirs.
Even though their's is the *only* emails I don't get.

I would suggest that they are lying. The problem will be at their end, as a lot of problems are that they never take responsibility for them.

I think the club hires a lot of apathetic temps who don't handle things well at all, just going from my experience with some of them via email versus at Botcon in person. Willing to admit its their problem? Never! Via the internet (phone/mail-order) the customer is always wrong
