You are about to entire the mind of Shockprowl.
I received from D.Stranger a box of goodies. Amounst the transforming treats were Cyborg Beasts Thrustor and Max-B. As I hate these names, I'd like to come up with some new ones for them. I'm trying to think of some G1 Decepticons, who are worthy to have survived the Great War and live on to become Predacons. I think I'm prob gunna track down a Dirge-Gun, as Dirge himself. I see the three working as a team, perhaps Megatron's or Rampage's hit squad (BW Mayhem Attack Squad?!?). Soooo any Hubbers got any ideas for the other two?
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Doc', please don't name them after Muppets! Decepticons only please!

Max B is a definite Carnivac. Dirgegun is an updated Venom.
Thrustor, I dunno. I'm pretty drunk and am thinking Flame? You know the guy who spent 4 million years working on Cybertron's engines?

Carnavac is a great idea. I've been calling Cackle Carnavac, but MaxB seems to fit better. And liking Venom instead of Dirge! Gunna have to think 'bout that long and hard. Yeah, the other one is tricky. Thanks for the ideas so far.

How about Snapdragon for Thrustor? He was properly hard in both the comic and the cartoon plus he gets big bonus points for mauling Daniel Witwicky in The Rebirth. You could even fudge a flight mode for Thrustor by tucking in his arms and legs and opening up his tail.

The 5 Cyberbeasts are upgrades of 5 previous BW II toys - many of which already had G1 names:
Megastrom -> Gigastrom
Starscream -> Hellscream
Thrust -> Thrustol
Dirge -> Dirge Gun
BB - > Max B

The last 4 are all superb toys. Especially Dirge Gun !

Yeah I'm liking Thrustor and Max B! Gunna hunt down a Dirge-gun to complete a little trio that I've got in mind. Thanks for the info. The three I'm after, I just hate the names. Max B? WTH?! And Thrust not being a jet doesn't do it for me.
So far the front runners are:
Dirge-Gun - I like the Venom suggestion, but Dirge is still favourate.
Thrustor - 95 per cent certain he's going to be Snapdragon. Great suggestion that one!
Max B - 99 per cent certain he's Carnavac. Although I had named Cackle Carnavac, so gotta think up a new character name for Cackle. Unless I just call him Cackle. Even though he's a 'mammal', he just oozes Predacon to me.
So, any other ideas anyone? This is fun!

Insofar as I am aware, Thrustor was previously Thrust, and Max B was previously BB in Beast Wars II, before being dipped in a vat of something called Anglomois - which is some very powerful goop that Unicron left on the planet Gaia - a kind of Dark God Energon... Now, seen in this light, these strange sounding names actually become somewhat logical. Start with Max-B. Why "Max-B?" Because it's like Maximum BB - the Maximum BB - BB at full potential. Maximum BB - for short - Max-B. It makes perfect sense to me. Now - Thrustor. Before emerging from Anglomois Goop, Thrustor was the comic relief character Thrust; an adorable yellow Seeker. Now, having been coated with Angloimois Goop - he emeges more powerful, and as we all know, nothing says POWER like a good "TOR!" at the end of your name (DevastOR!) The reason I think you should not change the characters' name and treat them as a generic type TF that needs to be associated with someone you find appealing and called the BW version of that character is because BB and Thrust were both adorable characters - so they ought to be cherished in their new Anglomois powered forms as well. BB was always silent and loyal to Starscream (his partner) - and in fact Max-B remains loyal to Hellscream (Starscream's new name after meeting the Anglomois Goop). His catch phrase was "Roger" - and he always struck me as being the Bret to Starscream's Parker. Let's talk about the bonus situation! Right. Excuse me, this isn't a rescue vessel. If you give me some money I'll be happy to do it. Right. They should have just frozen him! Right This Parker/Bret dynamic from Alien was perfectly mirrored in the dynamic between BB and Starscream, and presumably continued with Max B and Hellscream. As for Thrust/Thrustor - well - he's just a barrel of slap stick laughs and deserves to be himself I think  dyrl |

Love the Parker/Bret analogy! And thank you for the opinion. Interesting. However I'm genetically obsessed with forcing G1 characters into other lines. Just one of my weird little things...
