I've given up. Shockers asks questions about things the answers to which are in the post he's asking the question about. He's beyond help. We just need to change his sheets once a week and make sure he doesn't run out of biscuits. There isn't much else we can do.

Currently listening to an excellent Radio 4/World Service series called 'The Coming Storm' about QAnon, which I became horribly fascinated with when their mad ideas came up in a previous OU module (this was a few years before they hit the mainstream so my mind boggled when that happened).
Journalism on the BBC's web site is not what it was, but I can never fault the World Service. In another of their programmes (Crowd Science) I learned about Cow Jail.

Docu-drama 'Nuremberg' on BBC Sounds, about the Nazi trials, is utterly gripping.

It's partly based on court transcripts. Be warned: it's quite strong stuff. I've had to pause an episode from time to time to have a breather.

It's on the list. I just did the series about reality TV because I'm curious why it appeals to people. Wasn't that great, too much fan adulation in the presenters. Next for me is Lucy Worsley's series on female Victorian murderers.

This recent edition of Word of Mouth is well worth a listen - www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001vm4qIt's about how search engines monetise our searches. Absolutely fascinating.

I'll add that to my queue.
Caught the recent version of OUR MAN IN HAVANA on BBC Sounds. It was passable but leaned into the joke too much and didn't have a sense of danger. It's a story that works best when played absolutely straight.

Listened to an effective wee drama that can be found on BBC Sounds: 'Danger 2023'. A semi-remake of the first BBC Radio drama. Small group of characters in a confined space with no light to see by after an unknown catastrophe. Very gripping.

Bit late to the party but now listening to Jon Ronson's series on BBC Sounds 'Things Fell Apart', a very intelligent series about "the culture wars". Sensitively interviews people who hold opinions many may find offensive but does not demonise them and attempts to understand why and why people can fall down rabbit holes.

It’s very good! Season 2 may even be better than season 1.
On a similar line “The Coming Storm” is also a really good BBC podcast from recent years.
