Humphrey Lyttleton died tonightVery sad news As a late comer to Clue (2004) It's only the last few years I've heard Humph. We saw a Clue recording in Oxford a few years ago (2005/6 - Harry Hill) and it was a great night out. Thanks for many happy hours listening to Clue these last few years.

Yes, very sad. I heard 'bout his death on the radio this morning on my way to work. I wasn't that familiar with him, but they played some short clips and he was a very funny man. A national treasure.

As the plentiful supply of time initiates the panic buying of destiny, and the carpet fluff of eternity clogs up the Throttlebot of fate, rest in peace, Humph.

Ian, if you haven't heard that much of him try and find some I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue on BBC7 or buy some of the CDs. They're fantastic stuff.

There's some stuff on Sat's Today program. 43 mins, 61 mins and 70 mins in for those listening again. Classic clue Sunday at Midday, and a R4 Tribute program next Wednesday.

Yesterday's Sunday Mirror had a very tiny piece about his passing after they had run a full page on Colleen McCloughlan sunbathing on a yacht. Typical of tabloids - they seem to think that a footballers missus is more important than a legend such as Humphrey Littelton.
