Time to bring a bit of eye candy to the forum.

Each week one of us will pick an artist and share what we think is their best cover, and the rest can either agree or show off our own thoughts as to their best work.

I'm going to kick things off with probably one of the most well known, if not the most in terms of the US/UK market.

BRIAN BOLLAND

It's the cover for Judge Dredd Issue 3 from Eagle Comics.



It's beautifully rendered, a striking image and some reasonably witty dialogue. It's what a cover should be, and yes I owned it back in the day.

I do like that image, but it's a bit static for me, although the colour palette is bang on.

It's why I picked Bolland for the first one, he's pretty much the master of cover art for US comics and every cover he does is good in it's own way.
