They are knock offs but ofd higher quality. You can't tell by a glance but I bought a Scavenger at Pitsea market and once you get it open you can tell.
The mech alive parts were just moulded detail, the joints were quite loose, things like the light piped eyes were moulded detail to cut down on the amount of parts and the plastic quality was off. Beware.
Acquired for a future video today from Poundland are the CONVERTER TRAINS, which are a KO of something I recognise but cannot for the life of me place. You have to buy 3 to make them combine to form a big robot. I shall get round to trying this out later in the month.
Picture pls. I'll try and Id them. Any sign of the oversized ko combining Minicons? I'm off to Swindon 's Poundland in the morning to see if they have any
More transforming KOs have appeared in my local PoundLand store today.
I initially spotted two non-TF transforming robots. One was packaged as a spaceship (reminiscent of those in the Star Wars prequels), while the second was packaged as a non-Earth land vehicle. They appear to take a Duocon approach, combining together to form a single robot. Each component is sold individually.
I knocked one of the toys off the shelf and noticed a stack of 'Mini Converters: Fighters in Disguise' in the corner. Closer inspection revealed that they were Micromaster/Mini-con KOs by a company called Funtastic. There were two packs in total, each of which contained 6 robots. The packaging claims there are "12 to collect". It also promised "quality guaranted" - a statement that I quickly discovered was a fib when the packaging was removed. The plastic is cheap, the colouration was poor (why do we never see the high-quality KOs that US stores seem to have?) and the transformation had been simplified.

Pack 1 contains knock-offs of the following: - MM Bombshock - Mini-con Runway - MM Hot Rodimus - MM Gunlift - Caliburn/Leader-1 - An unidentified mini-con plane (can anyone ID it?) - An unidentified mini-con truck (can anyone ID it?). The front folds down to form his chest and I'm sure his legs are supposed to extend out. Sadly, the body, with the exception of the chest and arms, is a solid block in the KO version.
YES! Thank you. I knew that I had this figure, but had completely forgotten about the Spychangers. It is indeed Spychanger Ironhide. It's difficult to compare without the original in hand, but the KO seems much smaller than the original.
Here a few pictures of the robot modes: Pack 1 robot mode Pack 2 robot mode Apologies for the angle of the photographs. I tried to take a few photos of the front view but couldn't get the correct lighting to show body detail.
The helicopter looks like it's Tracer from the Micromaster Military Patrol. Although his legs are stuck where his arms should be from the look of it. Also, I think the one that you identified as Ransack is actually a member of the Monster Truck Patrol (can't remember who). I might be wrong.. No sure about the other helicopter/plane with no legs.
Thanks Matt. You're right, the helicopter does look like a deformed Tracer.
Not too sure about the truck. I can see where you're coming from. It may be a modification of Ransack or Hydraulic. The vehicle mode is closer to Ransack, but the upper torso differs considerably. It may have been a modified version of Hydraulic's chest.
