I got that set for Christmas back in the day. It took up a lot of space, but it was totally worth it.

That monorail set is the window of Toys Galore Morningside in the Burger. I often watch it in operation. -Ralph One of my friends had that, he couldn't even be bothered to put it together!!!! Does M-Tron count in this? I loved M-Tron. I had the big spaceship and big chunky 6-wheeler Yup!

Two more weeks of Lego.
Next one will really break you pocket. Trust me on this one.
Then it's weapons month.
Then it's wrapping up a few things left unfinished before I, in theory, put this feature to bed at the end of the year. I think it's all but run it's course and there ain't any major boys toylines left we haven't done over the last year.
There is another set of related top 5 toy features I want to do, but I might do them as the 12 top 5s of Christmas (they're also Lego related)
The Top 5 Transformers toys...... well you can work out how long that'll go on for but it'll be with us for a while yet :-)

I am rubbish at Top 5 list things. As for Lego Castle, I never had any and the sight of the new sets has me drooling. Will definitely pick up the £8 battle pack. That looks superb. But I know that if I do I will then have to get the whole range!!!

The only Lego train I have owned is the current city passenger one that comes with a Gav driver. Come to think of it, I never got round to making it go. Had to stick it in a box for a flat inspection. I must dig it out and make it go round and round.

Even Lego identify the importance of an Ackbar Minifigure by highlighting that it is new!

I've got a 12 days of Christmas idea for a series of top 5s
And of course the TF will go on. Probably for a few more years yet. But I think toys in general has run it,s course. We've covered the major lines, job done.

Week 45: Star Wars Lego Return of the Jedi
5) 6206: Tie Interceptor - I like Ties and Tie variants, and this is one that I remember vividly from the first time I saw ROTJ, so the fact that a large-scale LEGO version exists pleases me, 4) 9496 Desert Skiff - fun to build, an enjoyable swing-out plank to make minifigures walk, and a load of nice minifigures to go with it. Great fun 3) 75605 Rancor Pit - It is a pit, with a Rancor in it. I'll be honest and admit that the Rancor Pit appeals to me more than Jabba's Palace itself for some reason. 2) 77754 Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser - It has Ackbar, and a flag-deck for him to command the fleet from. That alone would make it great, but it also comes with an A-Wing fighter on a sort of launch grapple thing, just to add the icing on the cake. 1) 75003 A-Wing Starfighter. I love A-Wings, they are great looking fighters and always looked wonderfully quick and agile. (They also lived up to that billing in the X-Wing PC game and really felt like the ideal starfighter for me). This is a fun little kit to build and has amazing amounts of Wooshability once it is assembled. It also has an absolutely great pilot Minifigure, with an expression that makes me think he is slightly less impressed at being entrusted an A-Wing to pilot than I would be. Week 46: Hand GunsIt's weapons and accessories month week 1: Your top 5 from any weapon or accessory for your non TF action figure that falls into the category of Hand Held Guns. Hmmm. Hand-held. That narrows the field slightly, a lot of my favourite accessories are weapons but don't actually get held in the hands... I shall have to have a think about this. Karl

An E-11, several M-16 or close relatives and a Ma Deuce... Not a bad arsenal there and you have given me my Number 5 slot claimer- 1 think my list qualifies as one that could be described as "Christine Keller"-effect - "He would say that wouldn't he?" in several places. Honorable mentions: He-Man's Power Sword - for many years my immediate mental image when someone said "Magic Sword" was this, and there is still a good chance of it springing to mind. POTF E-11 Stormtrooper Blaster Rifle - iconic weapon of my childhood, and a really good rendition of it. GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra Jungle Viper's rifle - a .50cal sniper rifle, for when you either want to kill Joes from several miles away or want to remind them that thick walls are not bulletproof. 5. GI Joe Roadblock 1's Gun. A Ma Deuce, and Roadblock is planning to cart this around by himself. Anyone want to tell him that is meant to be a 3-person job? Because I won't if you won't. If Roadblock can actually move that about by himself I am as afraid of him as I am of his gun. The gun looks very though mean, and like you would not want it pointed in your direction. 4 Rise of Cobra Courtney "Cover Girl" Krieger's Tavor Assault Rifle. Even with the unexpectedly European hardware being toted by by the Joes in the movie and in the toy-line, a home-grown Israeli Assault Rifle, was not something I expected to see in a Joe's hands. Not that I am complaining, the Tavor has an interesting silhouette which suits the "near future" timeframe of the Movie Line, and looks like it is high tech but means business. 3 SSL-9B Dragunov Sniper Rifle - as carried by the 1/60th scale Bandai V-25G from Macross Frontier. It is a sniper rifle for a giant combat mecha. Once one gets past the inherent absurdity of it one realises that it makes a kind of warped sense. The 1/60th scale rendition is very true to the design of the weapon in the series (should be, it was partially CADded from the original CG animation model I believe), and retains the twin fold-out "X"'s of stabilisers that fold out from the weapon (how do they work? Pass, Dragunov and Shinsei don't share their trade secrets with me these days, but they do look rather neat). 2. VF-1 Valkyrie GU-11 Gunpod (specifically from the most recent 1/60th scale Arcadia/Yamato Valkyrie toys): Captures the early F-4 Phantom gunpod shape when folded up very nicely. The grip and trigger assembly folds in neatly for pegging onto the arm when not in use, and when you do need it the pull out grip and expanding rear section capture the lines of the weapon from the series possibly better than any of the previous attempts. For me this is a worthy rendition of an iconic weapon. 1. Pursuit of Cobra City Strike Low-Light's Rifle - semi-automatic rifle with a working adjustable butt-stock, detachable scope and optional detachable suppressor. Just what the modern sniper on the move needs. Karl
