Hi guys, I'm off to sunny sunny Afghanistan next year and my wife has thoughtfully bought me a Kindle Fire HD. With so many options out there, I was just looking for some recommendations on comics I could download to take with me. I'm a big fan of G1 first and foremost but have been swayed by the impressive War and Fall of Cybertron games. Allegedly the Prime TV series and Transformers Universe MMO are based in the same timeline but Prime, at least, has too much Bayness in it for me to completely buy that line.
I'll try and limit myself to £50 so with that in mind and my taste for slightly more Cybertronian or G1-flavoured awesomeness, what do you recommend?
Cheers in advance, Steve

You can't go wrong with the Uk Classics. There are three volumes out now which cover lots of the old Marvel UK comics and the annuals as well.
If you want something a bit modern - I recommend Last Stand of the Wreckers, nice complete tale.

You want the hardback edition of Last Stand of the Wreckers over the softcover for it has much added story material.

I think the HB version is available for the Kindle.

Cheers for the suggestions. I already had Volume 1 of the UK Classics series so it's nice to know I'm on the right track. Last Stand of the Wreckers isn't available for Kindle as far as I can tell. A search for it brought up More Than Meets The Eye Vol. 1. Is it in there somewhere?
The best I've read so far, by far, is Autocracy. Very well put together with a much darker take on the origins of Optimus Prime. It contradicts my preferred timeline but when it does it so well, it's hard to complain.

No, but MTME is by James and Nick (well Nick draws issue 1 and is back in Volume 2 for another issue) and it's about some of the cast after the war. Very enjoyable book.
