This feels like it's trying to bridge a gap between James' pre/early war stuff and that of someone else which I haven't read and, to be honest, this doesn't make me at all curious to read. I could also do without Pax and the green guys having human faces underneath their "masks" (which to me should be treated as legitimate faces in their own right rather than masks). But I've gone into that in the MTMTE thread.
Some nice fleshing out of Cybertron's geography, and Orion Pax gets some good hero stuff, both in terms of talking round would-be Decepticons and laying down the law when it's time to fight.

I can come and go on this to be honest - as a stand-alone tale it is fairly inoffensive and entertaining enough when it goes by. I'm not sure it really does much to expand the character of Orion Pax, or to tell us much we couldn't already have inferred. But it is an entertaining enough read, and I suspect it will get a second readthrough on an upcoming long train journey as a result. Karl

Enjoyed this, but I have to confess any time Alpha Trion is included in fiction my knuckles begin to itch, based on the wretched wankery of Mike Costa and Alex Irvine.
James did a better job, but I cannot stand that character at all. Liked the little touches about the body swapping, continuing on from MTME. Nice art, a bit looser than we normally see in IDW, which was a welcome touch.
In the old days it would just have slotted in to the ongoing as a one-off, but I can see why it was kept separate from MTME.
