US stock update- according to the tracking number from Mr Crazy Jetty, the box arrived at customs clearance at 9.43 a.m. on Friday. God alone knows when they'll be finished kicking it up and down their office and will issue their ransom demand. This one's going to be close, folks. EDIT: Actually Andy, we have a donated Scattershot already! -Nick Fingers crossed!

I feel nothing but hate for Customs right now. May cause a big loss in raising money for charity. Arseholes.

Might be worth chasing it up as you have the tracking number, you might be able to pay for it before the ransom is even sent.

Chasing it up where, though? I suppose I could try giving Parcel Force a ring in the morning and see if they know anything about it.

Are Customs contactable directly?
But yes, contacting Parcelfarce could involve paying the charge quicker so they'll release the package rather than waiting on a note.

Don't forget that whenever the tracking number shows that it's at the parcelforce depot, you can call them to pay the customs charge, rather than wait for the letter!

I phoned up Parcel Force and navigated their phone tree to a member of human staff. He said I needed to speak to the tracking staff and plunged me back into the phone tree, where I gave my USPS tracking number and in return was given the same information that was on the website and was politely told to piss off. I told the phone tree I had another package and then threw an assortment of colourful insults at it as it asked me to repeat my tracking number FOUR TIMES before giving up and putting me through to the person I was originally supposed to speak to.
All that over with, the nice human gave me a Parcel Force tracking number that I could use to monitor the box more closely now it's in Britain. She estimated that it would be finished with either this afternoon or tomorrow morning. I can enter the number on parcelforce.com, find out when it's available, get the ransom paid online and pick it up at our leisure.
We dropped the rest of the boxes off at the depot in the godforsaken hinterland of Cumbernauld about an hour ago, but they won't ship out until Wednesday as it's a 48 hour delivery service. If we've got the box before then my dad has offered to run me and it out to Cumbernauld to add it to the pallet rather than taping it to the top of my case and lumbering on and off trains with it. We'll see how it goes.
Parcelforce.com update: Express 48 - in progress.

Parcelforce.com update: Express 48 - in progress. What does it say when you hit the "tracking details" button? As soon as the location is the parcelforce depot, then you can phone them to pay the charge, or just go to the depot and pay the charge and collect the parcel.

Clicked "tracking details" and it gave the same information as usps.com, along with "in progress". I guess it hasn't cleared yet. I'll check it again this evening and tomorrow morning.

It's changed.
05-08-2013 18:22 International Hub Awaiting Customs Charging
Customs are currently throwing three darts at a board to decide how much I have to pay for the stuff I've already paid for. The good news is... it looks like they're done with it.

Unless your confident it will arrive tomorrow or Thursday before you leave.
The international hub is quite near Birmingham as far as I know, so would it be possible to arrange to collect it? Should be able to take a trip out Thursday afternoon or Friday if it is.
Nick vs Leige Maximo!
FIGHT!!!!!

Too late.
06-08-2013 11:20 National Hub Received and processed
It's now in Scotland.
There was a Parcel Force ransom demand behind the door this morning. I just about lost it until I opened the note and found it referred to a package from South Korea. It's the remaining J-Beast Wars items. £22.68. Which is fine- I had practically given up on it getting here. Punching their reference number into Parcelforce.com revealed the following:
05-08-2013 07:23 Glasgow Central Depot Awaiting payment of charges 03-08-2013 05:23 Glasgow Central Depot Received at delivery depot 02-08-2013 11:25 National Hub Received and processed 02-08-2013 05:49 International Hub Forwarded for UK processing 02-08-2013 05:44 International Hub Revised charges to be paid 31-07-2013 20:00 International Hub Awaiting Customs Charging 29-07-2013 12:08 International Hub Awaiting Customs clearance 29-07-2013 12:07 International Hub Awaiting Customs clearance 29-07-2013 11:57 International Hub Received in destination country 23-07-2013 13:12 Delivery Agent - SEOUL - PTT Forwarded for export 22-07-2013 17:41 Delivery Agent - KOREA, REPUBLIC OF Collected from customer
So it looks like it should be in Cambuslang (local Parcel Force depot) by tomorrow morning. My dad and I can go and collect it then and hopefully take it to the shipping depot before the pallet goes south.

The Korean one is apparently in the depot ready to be picked up. The US one should -SHOULD- arrive there tomorrow morning if it follows the same path. No reason to think it won't. I'll check early tomorrow.

Guess what? The pallet doesn't leave until this evening so we were able to hit the depot in Cumbernauld and add both boxes to it. This means I don't have to empty one box into my suitcase and strap the other one to the top a la Botcon 2010. Yay! -Nick

I'm guessing (hoping?) it is only the boxes you are holding up that are yours and not the rest?? That would've been one big suitcase...

I just remembered we have a Computron with buggered Scattershot, I can't remember what's wrong with it, but if anyone has a junker Scattershot they wish to donate or sell for a small sum lmk. I've got a Scattershot with a broken left leg piece, I bought one that's in good condition, but stickers applied. I'm going to switch them out, and assuming your Scattershot doesn't need a leg piece, you can have the rest to replace yours.

I just added up my weekend shopping and I spent either £123 or £126 at Toy Fu. I thought I spent closer to £140, so i am disappointed I didn't buy more, but that was more to do with lack of initial luggage space. I hope to spend more next year.
A great thank you and well done to all the guys and there hard work over the weekend.

Might be worth putting a spreadsheet together of what you have left young Nick, I pretty much hit budget this month, but in a couple weeks it is a new budget!
