For the 5th year running (!) there will be the Toy-Fu charity stall at the Auto Assembly convention raising funds for Mary's Meals: www.marysmeals.org/Though it is 8 months away, preparations are under way from this weekend onwards. The net will be cast wider later in the year (too early to bother most folk yet) but if over the next few months you find you have some Transformers toys or goods that you don't need anymore and would like to donate them please drop me a PM. The more donations we have, the more money we can raise as 100% of the sales value goes to the charity. Those of us on the stall do not make one penny from it. Last year we raised £4002 and would like to beat that this year. Thanks for reading. This thread will be updated throughout the year! -Ralph

Is it just Transformers toys and goods that will be accepted?

They do tend to be our bread and butter, but there's always a certain amount of demand for Gobots and last year we had a few old Robotech mecha that... eventually sold. What did you have in mind?

We had success with Power Rangers, but that was mostly boxed early stuff. Some Action Force/GiJoe and Reboot too.

Are you guys going to be having the stock list out before the con again? I'm 1985 hunting and would rather do a bit for charity at the same time!

We've only got a handful of Dinobots at the moment. I'm going to try to strip eBay US bare over the next few weeks to build up supplies. What are you looking for?

Slag and Swoop for a start! The 85 jets and deluxe insecticons.. Don't think I will be stretching to a roadbuster, whirl or jetfire quite yet.. Maybe!

Swoop and Slag are not a problem. 85 jets... don't have them but they can be acquired. Deluxe Insecticons shouldn't be a problem.
How much were you thinking for the Deluxe Insecticons? The accessories are often missing and Barrage is usually damaged- we (me and Andy Kiernan, the latter of whom is about to set off for Botcon intent on emptying it) try to aim for £30-35 for a complete one. Any less than that just isn't feasible when you're buying from eBay US.
-Nick
EDIT: That reminds me- Dirge was done as part of the Commemorative Series. He's much easier to find in good condition and is cheaper than the other two. Is a reissue one all right?

£30-35 is cool for me on the insecticons. Reissue dirge is fine, pretty sure there was also an ehobby reissue of the other two, not sure what the aftermarket value is though!

Oh yeah. I got Thundercracker, Skywarp and Thrust in that style when they came out- they were about £50 a pop at the time. Mind you, that was the early days of reissues so Diaclone-era vehicles were all pretty expensive still. I remember Trailbreaker and Hoist were crazy money, and nobody cared about poor Ratchet and Ironhide. I did, though.

*Goes to check shopping list*
No deluxe insecticons on the list.
*adds deluxe insecticonos to the list.*
If the insecticons end up being more like £35-40 are you both still interested? I only ask as the exchange rate is pants compared to the last few years.

I'll donate the 84 and 85 jets and some other early Decepticons to Toy-Fu if Ralph and Karl are willing to take them from me on 20 July.

I can prob stretch to £40, I'm looking to drop around £250 on G1 stuff, and round out most of my 85's collection without the big boys of shockers, roadbuster et all.

They were fine indeed. They were sorted and packed with appropriate reverence. I will see they go to good homes.
I've been busy opening up all the boxes of Toy-fu stock, taking pictures, listing and cataloguing. After 3 days I have six boxes, about 200 images and 264 items listed with a combined value (theoretically) of just under three grand. There's about one and a half times as much again to go. The American stock hasn't arrived yet, nor have some last minute purchases from Korea. Plus Andy K's Botcon purchases.
Plus Andy K's entire stock.
I think we'll be okay for gear this year. Nonetheless, if anyone out there has donations they want to bring along, all is welcome. Even if we don't sell it all (and we never do because that would be insane), we can pack it up for next year.

I have some Armada stuff I can donate, but, I think it is in a loft somewhere, I will attempt to dig it out for this year, if I fail, then next year!

Don't feel pressured, chief! As I said we're okay for gear at the moment and we'll happily accept it next year, but it's very welcome if you can bring it along... weekend after next. Gleep!

US stock update- according to the tracking number from Mr Crazy Jetty, the box arrived at customs clearance at 9.43 a.m. on Friday. God alone knows when they'll be finished kicking it up and down their office and will issue their ransom demand. This one's going to be close, folks.
EDIT: Actually Andy, we have a donated Scattershot already!
