The Dr Wu ones are the ones I like most.
If Kapow or someone local stocks them for less than the Amazon versions I might buy.
The punishment set is confusing, Does it include a third pair of black launchers or not? Description doesn't seem to mention them but they are in the contents image twice. If they are thats a good set to cover all three figures, even if they dont have the variety of the Dr Wu set.

Yeah, especially now they've added a newer photo of them separated out.
Andy, I need to get some stuff from BBTS. If you or anyone else want a set I'll be happy to get em in my PoL

You know what I think?
Ian should buy all of them and do a comparison test.

Great offer thanks Phil, but they're cheaper at Robot Kingdom and they'll come under the import duty if I order them on their own (at the trade off of more expensive shipping @ $8).

Reprolables have some sets out for Prowl and Streak, as we hoped they would. Look pretty good to me. I think I'll be getting a Prowl set, even though I got The Fear about putting stickers on such an expensive figure!

I have had a shot of Toy-Fu's MP Prowl so now have some opinions. I was a bit unwell at the time so did not have the energy to attempt the transformation so can't comment on that aspect. Vehicle mode looks quite nice though for an MP toy I really was disappointed there were no seats or steering wheel inside (something the Binaltech range could manage 10 years ago). Robot mode is ok, but badly requires stickers as it looks horribly plain. Head is really well sculpted but just does not feel 'Prowl' to me. Nothing wrong with it though! More an issue of personal taste rather than any fault with the mould. The launchers are shit.
For the price it is being sold at in its domestic market it gets by fine but allowing for exchange rates it's only worth about half the RRP. A toy at that price should not require additional expenditure in stickers and extra launchers to give it the look it should have out the box.
It was, however, much better than I expected. Had more heft that I had presumed and the back of the legs look fine in hand.
I thought Bluestreak looked much better in all honesty. The cheap approach to detailing in this range works much better for the colours that version of the toy deploys and the simplistic detail really pops on that one, actually.
Overall, nice to have a fiddle with Prowl! An ok toy, just nothing that says 'masterpiece' to me in the dictionary definition sense.

Interesting to hear your thoughts, Doc'. I agree with a lot of them, he is plain and needs stickers, and one shouldn't have to pay out more than one has already paid on stickers and decent launchers! It is annoying. Style wise, it's as you say, down to personal taste, I love the new MP style! Glad you like him, and don't forget, He loves you. He loves everyone.

Paying for extra stickers in a shame, but im glad it doesnt come pre paint apps applied. In pack stickers like g2 sideswipe would have allowed people to choose between cartoon and toy style was the way to go.

Dr.Wu missile launchers are here.
Packaging is simple zip lock bags and no documentation (not that it's really needed). Plastic feels decent enough and launchers are nice enough sculpts.

I have to say that I echo a lot of your views on MP Prowl Ralph. For its domestic RRP it is pretty competitively priced for what it is.
It does suffer from the lack of proper weaponry "as stock" the little tubes it has in place of missile launchers are a little bit anemic - they feel a bit like he has slung a couple of kitchen roll tubes over his shoulder. But at the price-point I can see why they haven't included any weapons other than the rifle. What kind of works against it for me is that when you add in the weakness of our currency (although Primus knows it is stronger than it was), shipping and customs fees we are looking at close on twice the total cost of acquisition as someone buying it domestically. I think that higher cost leads me to be more negative about it than I otherwise would be.
If I was living in Japan I would absolutely buy one of these like a shot. Actually I would probably be snagging him to keep Bluestreak company, as I do think that is the better version (Mostly due to the lack of signage and other detailing on Prowl hurting his vehicle mode a bit). As an import it doesn't quite do enough for me in terms of being an upgrade over the Encore version to be a must-have.

The lack of detailing and accessories of Prowl is why I feel Smokescreen is far superior to him as a purchase. I paid a few pounds less for Smokescreen, who has a lovely colour scheme, comes with a pair of shoulder cannons and is just a beautiful toy in car mode. I would say though that Prowl does have the nicer head, but both the heads are great sculpts, it is just Smokescreen never had the most detailed head in the old G1 cartoon, so both are great representations. I said I would only get Prowl and Smokescreen, as I couldn't justify paying £40+ for three of the same mold, after having two of them in hand and seeing picks of Bluestreak, I am now tempted by him. Even more so as he is now pennies under £40 here. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370829920741?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I have to say I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that the more I fiddle with current generation toys, like the Generations and Prime lines, that what really makes me zing when it comes to Transformers these days is the Masterpiece line and the original G1s. I look at MP Prowl and his buddies and think - yes - this is what it's all about. I don't tend to get the same swell from the other ranges. These MPs, Prowl especially, are just magnificent.

I agree. I wish the plastic was weightier, wish the tyres were rubber.... but the style of them, the essence if them, it's what I've always wanted.

MP Prowl is very much enjoying his rearmourment via Dr Wu. He's tried all his new missiles now. The launcher fits perfectly. The set has an Amazon style missile, which does look really good. But also has a sleeker looing smaller missile, which suites Prowl very well actually -possibly the best of all-, and the oversized impressive Pointy missiles which were the main attraction of the set for me. So, it's a great set. You get the Amazon style missiles, the sleeker very G1 looking missiles, and the huge pointies that'd be perfect for Bluestreak. One deosn't need the expensive Amazon set! But all is not lost, 'cos they'll do for my spare MISB MP Prowl, or a Bluestreak when I get one. Very happy!

Yes, but does he have a desk to flip over?

Prowl would never have to flip over a desk. He would mathematically predict the events where he would have to flip over a desk and get up early and walk round the desk so as not to expend any unnecessary energy.

But there was that one time he flipped over a desk in a comic. It was an ill-judged moment. Prowl is too cool in the mind to do that.

Prowl is too cool in the mind to do that. -Ralph Hmmmm exactly, Doctor. He's not a desk flipper. He's a predictor of desk flippage. Nick Roche's Prowl in (sorry I can't remember the issues name I'm ashamed to say) the story about Kup's rehabilitation remains the ultimate portrayal of Prowl I've ever seen. One step ahead, all the time. Calculating. A little sinister almost. Doing what has to be done, to stop the enemy. That's Prowl, baby!
