The price really does seem as rip off when you can get the Takara version delivered from Asia, with or without a customs charge, for at a guess at least a tenner less. The seller I got my Prowl from currently has him up for around £48, so no thank you Toys R Us.

I'm sure the price will come down by up to a third like Acid Storm and all other TRU exclusives that dont sell at their ridiculous full price. Even then £40 is the upper limit of what its worth.

I think TRU are just chancing their arm with a crazy price because it's exclusive to them. It worked out with Soundwave, Grimlock and Prime, but not with Hot Rod and Acid Storm. They've started doing it with Lego stuff as well- items that are only available through them and lego.com are usually £10 or so more on lego.com. If they don't sell: they drop the price to RRP, act like they're doing customers a favour and still make money on them. As usual we will wait for the sales  -Nick |

I just want to say I'm quite pleased with my MP Prowl. The transformation is very intuitive despite being a tad complex. I did look in the instructions, but only once and now I've gotten the hang of it. Shame he's not got any stickers from G1, I know they are not cartoon or comics accurate, but I liked them (not enough to get them 3P). Size wise, he's a tad big, but I'm planning on having him command my Earth based Autobots, and obviously in Transformers you must be bigger to lead, so it all works.

That doesn't bode well if Sunstorm goes as well. Be nice to know the reason. There must be a difference between this and it not having been considered at all. What are the 'unreleased' diecast figures being offered to people who preordered?
It was risible though that buying this would have cost more than importing it.

Maybe it's my fault for saying that so often. Maybe They are reading these threads and as a consequence have decided that it's not worth it. Or maybe this is just Hasbro UK being Hasbro UK...

Despite 'The Fear' I have finally put on Prowl's Reprolabels that I got sixhundred years ago.
Marvelous! Haven't used them all... shoulders, crotchy bit, 'police' and 'highway patrol' here and there.... Really bring the figure to life with some much needed detail.

That's The Sex alright. I must admit, I didn't use all the Reprolabels stickers I got for my 'main' MP Prowl. I left some off. But mine basically looks like yours, Kinjacono.
And stay away form Prowl's crotch, guys, he's promised it to me.

For the price these go for I think it's quite poor that the toys don't have all the deco of the originals that they homage and that additional stickers have to be purchased to make them look like how they should have done in the first place!

I like my Masterpieces to be as close to the original toys as possible, but I'm not sure I want to sticker up Prowl like that. I quite like the clean look he has unstickered. Which is perhaps odd because I do love a good stickering. I had a Reprolabels order arrive yesterday and I'm salivating at the prospect of getting my tweezers out. Oh yes. |
