Thanks for all the welcomes. Unfortunately I've already succumbed to collecting lego minifigures. I'm also collecting Mega Bloks Halo blind pack figures too. I've already filled a large box up and about to start a second one. I really should be spending my cash on sensible things like food and clothes.

I've made a couple of posts in other threads but noticed this one and thought it might be polite to give a wave. I've arrived here having been on a search recently for a UK based source of news for toy releases as we always seem to have to guess what will eventually make it here (current ponderings: Wreckers combiners? FOC Blaster? Springer & Sandstorm?)
I seem to fit the bill; I'm in the approaching 40 club and am a life long fan and collector. I started in '84 when I picked up the first issue of the UK comic and have dabbled in most toy lines and ranges since, keeping up with the various comics and cartoons. I'm on a bit of a resurgence at the moment having been distracted by the Forbidden Planet Doctor Who Classics 5" range for the last few years. That seemed to coincide with the rise of the Michael Bay Transformers figures, which it has to be said were killing my enthusiasm. However the fantastic year the toy line is having has put it forefront in my mind again, and Hasbro seem to be making an effort to push the 'collector' lines like Generations more over here too. So I am once again having to find reasons to justify buying toy robots to my missus, but I'm still proud to do so!

She's not so much a hater, it's more a sort of quiet understanding in the same way that you tend to nod and smile at an eight year old when they're telling you something vitally important to them. My ecstatic delight yesterday at finding BH Voyager Magnus in Tesco for £11, when up til then I'd been about to hit buy on importing one from the US as I'd no idea if it was coming here... well it didn't quite have the same impact on her.

Hi, I'm the Llama God. I'm a long time Transformers fan - I've been with the franchise since issue 7 of the original Marvel UK run (it would have been sooner if not for disagreements on what I was allowed to spend my pocket money on). I've lurked on TFW2005 (and occasionally posted) for... Primus knows how long now, about fifteen years I reckon. And I've been a semi-regular poster on Full Metal Hero since it opened. And now I've come to lurk here, too, because... well, you can never have enough Transformers stuff, right?
