Hello, I didn't see a 'welcome new members' thread so thought that it'd be okay if I went ahead and just started my own thread! So I'm Blast Cannon, I'm a newbie here but been a member over at Seibertron since 2001. The place has got a little drab recently and frankly I'm tired of trying to talk with a bunch of Americans. I Googled 'UK Transformers fan forum' and this place looked the friendliest, so here I am! I'm 28 and from Manchester though I now reside in Warrington (the TRU here inexplicably gets so much cool stuff), I'm also a History teacher at an an 11-18 school. I'm a massive Manchester City fan (season ticket holder before the money, in case any of you start) and I'm also a big fan of Dr Who and Star Wars. For toy collecting I'm very much a cherry picker rather than a completist, opting to buy figures I love rather than just for having them. I love the Combiner Wars series and I'm really enjoying the renaissance G1 Transformer toy collecting is enjoying at the moment. I've also recently (this very week!) started getting into the Star Wars Black Series collection after admiring my friend's shelf. I believe that is it - I hope to be an active member of the community and thanks for having me!  |
