I can understand it coming over with some fbclid info on the end, as things people have got to from FB do, but extra junk at the start is a new one, and it seems specific to the BBC links you've posted.
If you click on the link in the post of yours I quoted does it take you to the correct page?

Mobile view isn't working properly on my phone or tablet ATM. If I go to a thread, the page navigation buttons don't work. Instead of going to the page when I click on them I get a box up saying deselect or report post. That's chrome on my phone and tablet.
