I got your spare Bling Vader and Bling Trooper. They live happily amongst my lego legions.

Yeah the chrome Vaders are crazy money. Much to my annoyance at the end of 2011 I got the helmet and sold it in a lot on ebay, then at the end of last year I found an complete figure minus helmet. *sigh*

Heh- that explains why somebody asked me to put a BIN on Vader less than an hour after it went up "My little one would love this" they said. I'm sure loads of 4-7 year olds collect obscure minifigure variants. *checks auctions* Jeez! Vader's already at 11 quid! -Nick

We should have had a book on the finishing price.
Had a result on the eBay sales today myself :-)

Even when I've been selling a really popular (or really rare) TF on eBay the most I ever saw from the selling page was about 25 watchlists. I thought that was a lot. There are 88 people watching my Lambda shuttle. I wonder how many of them are Lambda shuttle owners wanting to know what it's worth before selling theirs, since everyone else on eBay UK is selling them at starting bids above RRP. One particular pisstaker started his at £499!

Three hours to go. I'm wondering what on Earth is going on with the Technic truck- either I got very lucky on it when I bought it or it's been featured in some Lego Technic commemorative book or something. Either way, I'm getting back two thirds more than what paid for it two years ago- if the buyer pays up, of course. A bit random for a 7 year old set.
Vader still creeping up. Some people really love their minifigures. Stormtrooper is doing okay but maybe isn't as sought after since he's more recent. Shuttle is still well below UK RRP but is on 95 watchlists. The most popular item I've ever listed. Oo-er.

£245 in Britain. $265 (£171) in the States. I got it for $185 (£120) because there was a promotion on and I blew all my loyalty points. Paid another $100 (£65) to get it home as a second suitcase, although the box was full of other stuff like trades and paperwork as well. So call it £180 all told. It finished at £205, which is a bit less than I was expecting but there ya go. Bad news for guys starting their auctions at £299, I suppose.
On the other hand, the Technic tow truck went for £155! WOOHOO!
Did anyone have £35 for Vader in the pool?

Well you got more for your used shuttle than what you paid for it unused. That's a pretty good result! Folk starting their auctions at above RRP are off their rockers.

It's no longer available on lego.com, and Amazon are taking the piss as usual. I can see the reasoning, but the RRP was so daft on it to begin with that going up from there seems unduly optimistic. -Nick
