Right, you lot! Eagle eyed members of the TF fan community will already know what this is all about - but for anyone else, I'll briefly explain: After the announced closure of the Transformers Mosaic fan comic project, there were some in the fan base who felt strongly that an outlet for single page comics needed to be preserved. There were certainly a good number of folks who were outspoken about wanting to continue producing them. So... a few decisive emails, Skype sessions, some deftly executed 'disapearances' of troublesome individuals, payoffs and outright bribery later, the Multiverse project was conceived! The project is effectively centred around our DA group page, which you can find here: linkBasically, we're offering the opportunity for everybody who wants to to get stuck in with more of the same. Although there are a few differences. Basically, the big deal is that You can tell a multi-page story up to 5 pages in length (less if needs be) and we're keeping an eye on the group to make sure everybody plays nice. Trolling, disrespectful commentary or the like WILL earn people warnings, and exclusion from the group. We want everybody to feel welcome in a spirit of encouragement and friendly collaboration. If you'd like to participate, you can email us at multiversecomics@live.com, and we'll send over our contributor's pack, which includes everything you need to get started. Note that we're NOT reviewing scripts, so please don't send us those. Full submissions guidelines are in the pack. And now, to give you all a taste of what's going on over on the Multiverse page, I'll be posting a strip each day for your delectation!

I see this project is already keeping to the same level of quality as the Mosaics!
Maybe I should crack out the old pen again!

The art on both installments is fantastic, although I do have some minor quibbles on the proportions in a few panels of the second one.
Problem is, it's exactly the same as the Mosaics that came before them, we have continuity porn instead of telling stories.

Andy The first post says they are doing multipage stories, I assume these are just the first pages of longer stories, setting up a concept rather than being a story in their own right.

Glad to see folks are taking an interest! I won't be able to keep much of an eye on this thread, unfortuantely, so my input may well be limited to whenever I post something here. I'm intending to put something up each day until you've got our full ctalogue of pieces, though, so I should be around for about a fortnight. If you have queries, feel free to post them here. On this issue, though, I'll say a few brief words: Problem is, it's exactly the same as the Mosaics that came before them, we have continuity porn instead of telling stories. Andy I wouldn't describe that as a 'problem', as such. We're not dictating to contributors the style and method of storytelling they decide to employ. I think it's safe to say that there's an element of the fanbase who naturally want to explore plot points in official fiction that they find interesting. Whether it's a continuity fix, their idea for a 'deleted scene' or simply revisiting an obscure incarnation. I'm personally all for that. I WANT to say that I don't agree that continuity is being referenced at the expense of a clear narrative. However, the nature of this project is that quality and clarity of writing will vary from one piece to another. That's just the beast that is fan comics. I know we discussed this issue at one point in the past as I was setting the project up, Andy, so rest assured it was given a lot of thought. However, the conclusion I've come to is that the label of 'continuity porn' isn't a terrible thing. At the end of the day, the overriding motivation for setting Multiverse up was to make sure fans who wanted to create Mosaic - format comics could still do so. So you'll basically see whatever our contributors decide to put together, providing it meets our guidelines for acceptable content. I personally hope we see a variety of different things as more folks pitch in. And by all means, if you want to show folks how you think it should be done, feel free to sling us a story or two! We could certainly use some Turnbull goodness.

Looks lovely, but again. There's no story to it and if I am being brutally honest it's telling me information that I was already told in the original Marvel Comics back in the day.

Is this one a multi-part one? I don't believe so. To my knowledge, we've only received one piece so far that's part of a larger story.

I'd call it an opinion. Which I personally disagree with. Don't be doing my head in now, Andy. Tut tut tut!

I love you guys so much, I decided to post another comic for you BEFORE dinner. Am I not benevolent and kind? And hungry? Just to prove that we advocate and encourage the experimental stuff, here's something one of my co-ordinators on the project cooked up:
