Angry Video Game Nerd
Some of the comedy does come across as trying too hard and James is guilty of complaining about things that are just part of retro games, but still worth watching. (Watch out for imitators such as Irate Gamer).
Hey Ash Watcha Playing?
Surreal take on gameplay intruding on real world behaviour.
Egoraptor
After finding fame on Newgrounds as a highly skilled animator and VO artist, most of Egoraptors best work has found a home on YouTube. He makes good analysis of game design in his Sequelitis series etc.
JonTron
In a world of dull monotone YouTube game reviews that are trying too hard, JonTron is a refreshing change.
Peanut Butter Gamer
PBG is in a similar vein to JonTron (they both were part of NormalBoots.com). Not quite as abstract or original, but still worth a punt.
Game Grumps (Egoraptor and JonTron)
Only started in the last few months, both JonTron and Egoraptor play games together and provide a running commentary. Their Sonic '06 endeavour is just awe (well, what's the opposite of awe?) inspiring, but I can understand how this may get boring/irritating as there doesn't seem to be much point.
Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation
Overly cynical or bang on the money? Yahtzee's quick delivery and quirky comedic visual stylings are definitely some of the better reviews out there.
and a rather acquired comedy taste...
Gaming Mill
I first came across Gaming Mill when Team17 gave him a pre-release copy of Alien Breed: Impact to review. I wasn't really sure what to make of him. Some of his earlier video reviews/game play commentaries are pretty bad, but there are enough running jokes to keep him interesting. Plus he reviews games that not many other people will, like this one...
Yeah, he has a passion for realistic graphics, especially fences for some reason. 9.5 / 10.
