"Your Top 5 more Prowl toys!" Would your answers have changed since Week 32? Ok. Here we go. These are this Prowl obsessives favorite 5 Prowls. 5. Animated Elite-Guard. A lot of thought had to go into 5th place, because there are some very fun figures to choose from, so blessed is the Prowl fan for Prowl toys! Titanium and Beast Hunters and Reveal the shield Legends and Worlds Smallest were all close runners here. But the wonderfully symmetrical robot/bike Animated Prowl, painted in G1 colours at last, is a beautiful and elegant looking Prowl, who just nipped ahead of the others. 4. Beast Wars Owl Prowl. Very G1 heavy, this list, but here I step out of G1 for some feathered Owl-Prowl goodness! I wouldn't have picked an owl for a Beast Wars incarnation of Prowl. But it works so brilliantly! Prowl suits being an owl so well! And again his techspecs makes the figure even better. 3. Classics/Generations. Problems aside, like his poor neck articulation, this figure was/is a dream update of G1 Prowl. Brilliant inclusion of his launchers, nice transformation. What Classics are all about. 2. G1. The original. Where it all started. I wanted a police car transformer so much when I was a boy. Then I read his techspecs, and fell in love with the character. The toy itself is wonderful fun and very iconic. 1. Masterpiece. We're all aware of the problems, the maybes, the should haves, and the d'you-mind-if-I-don'ts, but all things considered, this figure is the ultimate representation of G1 Prowl. Beautiful car mode, pleasant transformation, and an ultra-G1 toy/cartoon merging Robot mode. He's just fantastic. I love this figure. And he loves you.

Beautiful car mode, pleasant transformation, and an ultra-G1 toy/cartoon merging Robot mode. He's just fantastic. I love this figure. And he loves you. Hmmmmm. Good question, Big Phil! I actually hadn't thought about it! So as this is the Last Week, it seems fitting to do- MY NEW TOP 5 PROWLS:Unofficial 5) Table-Flipper. Has it's faults, which I will cover in my upcoming review, but this figure just looks sooooo good. Super-Prowl. Bad ass Prowl. Uber-Prowl. Ultra Warrior Prowl. Prowl if he had the Matrix. Might be a bastard to transform, but posed in robot mode, he looks prowltastic. Official 5) What are they called? Cyberverse? Cyber-battalion? Anyway, the Big One. Big Prowl. A big fun Prowl who looks good and transforms really quickly. So much fun, and scales with the Small Child's Ponies really well. 4) Combiner Wars. I love combiners. I love the Perchance to Dream Dream-Team. I love Big Phil's amazing and accurate theory that the Protectobots could have been G1 characters. Now, Prowl gets to lead his own team of combiners (with Silverbolt's help- huh, maybe I should get Inferno...), who combine to form the Incredible Auto-Sentry!!! I also love this mold, and it looks so good as Prowl. 3) Owl Prowl. Yes! after much thought Owl Prowl has gone up. It's the perfect Beast Prowl. Of course Prowl would be an Owl! AND he's a Space-Owl!!! Look at those rocket-engines!!! 2) G1. Nostalgasm. Nothing nostaligises me like a G1 -The Transformers- Prowl. 1) Masterpiece. Can't beat perfection.

Week 250: Top 5 Transformers ToysWhat are your Top 5 Transformers Toys? Bubbling under: 10) Night Slash CheetorBeast Machines was not good for Cheetor toys, so it was a relied when this came along. I'd loved a version in bright yellow with clear green plastic. 9) BWII GalvatronMad, MAD Toy. Galvatron's back and he's a Dragon AND a drill tank? But he's a Japanese Exclusive :-( But it's 1998/99 we have the Interweb and can now buy Japanese exclusives! HURRAH! 8) 1984 SideswipeFavourite car 7) 1985 GrimlockFavourite Dinobot. 6) 1984 SoundwaveSuch a great toy, never beaten. So .... Phil's Top 5 Transformers Toys5) 1984 Optimus PrimeGreat toy. Did everything right in 1984, loads of articulation great base mode. The cab has never been beaten for an Optimus. 4) Armada HoistOh I love this toy. A construction vehicle, with an action feature and a fab transformation. I will remember John Cullen going "what does this do?" and using it on a pint glass for as long as I live. 3) Super Fire Convoy"I'M A GOLDFISH, TRANSFORM!" The return of vehicles to Transformers headed up by this amazing toy. Fire engine looks superb, nice robot with reasonable base, superb super mode, and later a combined mode. Lights and sounds. Missiles. Extending turntable ladder. Did so much stuff. I got one early 2000 and I can remember going to the Transforce that year and seeing so many people buying them. 2) Beast Wars Optimus PrimalI'd quit and sold up in 95ish while unemployed. Then in 1997 a friend said "there's a new Optimus Prime and he's a gorilla". He showed me his French bought one and I knew there and then I had to have one. So so many features. Amazing. 1) Brave MaximusThe story of how we were deprived of Fortress Maximus in 1987 is well documented. So when the chance came to buy a repaint in 2000 I jumped on it. Yes there were no big guns, or sword, or Cog/Gasket but it didn't matter, this was an amazing toy packed with features. Best base mode packed with features, fab Battleship mode and HUGE robot. Selling my first one in 2004/5 was a huge mistake which I have since rectified. He now has KO Guns and a KO Sword to keep him company. Love him.
